I was exactly like this Woodsie. I have to apologise to my English teacher (who I now teach with) for being such a pain in the arse.
 
If it did all turn to siht, would Neil Henry have the credentials? He'd be a pretty resilient bloke having spent time at the calamatious Titans and experience working with dysfunctional boards.
 
Unless Manly has some particular issues with Trent at present , there really seems no reason why he would have any inclination to not honour his coaching contract next season . His presence and mannerisms at the Manly"s 20 "s G . F. game day and all present public comments can only suggest that he is approaching next season in a through and professional way and has every intention of full filling his contract duties and to maximize Manly "s chances and prospects . Maybe some things can not be that certain and any extension proposition can only be conjecture right now but again as far as next year is concerned , the likelihood of Trent not coaching Manly seem pretty remote .

We certainly struggled when the whips were cracking at season end. I suspect that just like the players Baz has realised finals football is a whole different kettle of fish. He should have learnt some lessons from his first visit to post season football and you'd like to think he'll be better for the experience. Let's see how he goes next season and judge him on whether he can find that extra gear needed
 
Can anybody give me one compelling reason why ... if you were Baz .... and had confidence in your ability and the team you were assembling ... that you would sign a contract extension early, and not gamble that after a third good season your value goes from $300k to $600k a season.

That's a big difference in pay chq's .... they say Green is now worth a $mil a year.

Of course if he was nervous or uncertain of his future value ... he would sign lickety split .... but then, would he be the coach we want?

I hadn't looked at it like that.
I would imagine Griffin, confident or lame as he may appear, would be in that nervous or uncertain category after his donkeys experience, thus his signing of an extension.
They are welcome to him.
But I wouldn't stop being nervous if I was him because Gus might decide he needs a 'Cleary like' rest.

A good campaign of which saw BARRETT lead us to the finals after two seasons of mass rebuilding. The players are closer than ever, with Walker saying they are closer than the bunnies premiership winning side of 2014. Sure we fell away at the back end of the season, with a few revivals of form here and there (vs roosters and vs panthers rd 26) but the end result is that we had a big big opportunity to finish top 4. Now with another season and offseason together, along with the imminent addition of Thompson and perhaps more players, we can expect the side to continue to develop to shut the 100% pessimistic supporters like you up by finishing top 4 and by having a real dig at the pointy end of the season
