India 5 for 112 still needing another 175. Still abit nervous about this. On the face of it 175 is not a lot of runs to get, but the deck is doing a fair bit. Personally I think we will roll them in the first session. Hopeful anyway. But stranger things have happened. GOAT to bring it home with 10 for the match. That'll teach Kohli. No specialist spinner. Ha.
Great knock by Latham for the Bros v SL. SL digging in now though, although still a long long way behind in the game.

India’s decision not to play Jadeja was a bad one but I am glad they made that mistake!

As for Kohli, he is a complete twat but it would be boring without him. The only thing that gets my goat is when the same people get upset about Warner and his boarish behaviour but take no issue with kohli. They are as bad as each other and should be held to the same standard. Loved Tim Paine’s quips.

We should finish them in the first session but I am nervous...

Sums up exactly how I feel.

I don't mind Kohli. He provides a bit of theatre.

It is showing. He is under enormous pressure to deliver India a series win in Australia against such a depleted Australian batting line up.

Woo hoo. 6 dead. 4 to go. Cmon Gary. Backed him for a 5 fa.
It’s funny how a few years ago, everyone thought he was crap. And he was not that good. Only through lack of options was he retained, but it enabled him to learn his craft and turn into a magnificent off-spinner!

Any changes to the third test line up? Handscomb has to go but who replaces him?

Credit to Kohli. Plays hard and to the line on the field. Very gratuitous, humble and classy in defeat. I didn't used to take to Kohli, but his press conference was all class.

Finch must be in some doubt with his finger you would think, although I know they said no break. Agree Handscomb looks all at sea, but Shaun Marsh not faring much better. Maybe Mitch Marsh comes in for one of them. Not sure we have current depth to replace two batters

Will it be another boring MCG wicket ?? Suits me if it's a draw for Boxing Day test so we can go to the SCG for the decider. It's been a long time since a New Years Test has had any significance, generally dead rubbers

I know what you mean but Cameron Smith has given two of the most dignified speeches after a GF loss yet he is still a complete knob.
Kohli is an incredible batsman and I enjoy watching him bat. I don’t think I will ever cheer for him though. Same way as with Cameron Smith, I cant believe how well he can control a game and for me he is probably the best player I have ever seen, but I have never and will never cheer for him.
Bring on the Boxing Day Test!

I agree re our depth - I don’t think we can make two changes to our batting order but even if we did I do not think we would fare worse. I think Stoinis is a better all rounder than Mitch Marsh and would probably go with him. Henriques has been batting superbly but if we make a change I’d rather we go for someone who is 30 years old or less. I’d even consider the Big Show.

I’ve loved these last two tests even though I have only been able to follow on line. If a test lasts to the fifth day with the result relatively in the balance, there will be no complaint from me about the outcome.

I like Stoinis too, certainly no worse than Mitch Marsh save for the lack of experience which will probably count against him in an already inexperienced team. Henriques was battling some demons so not sure if he is thinking test cricket at the moment. I suspect Joe Burns maybe next cab off the rank. Maxwell just hasn't been playing much long form cricket to get in the frame. His mate Wadey is leading run scorer, so maybe they might pick him as a specialist bat ?? LOL

This last test was a cracker. Good to see a wicket with a bit in it to make it a contest. Some tough batting conditions the last two days.
