Albert hopoate cleared by specialist

I too am frustrated with the current state of our team, however I don’t think it’s the best idea to throw a rookie who hasn’t even played a game of under 20s into this team. Particularly considering he has come off 2 back to back ACL injuries.

I normally agree with this, however tonights team will cop 60+ against the Eels next week. Season is slipping away so it's almost at the stage of 'what have we got to lose'.

Unfortunately the Mole is reporting that Albert wants to join Barrett and Will at the dogs next season.

Hopefully this is only an addition to what Joey was suggesting in the media last week.

Hoping we can retain Albert for a few more seasons.

Manly will be so dumb letting Hopoate go !!!!! His the future great player !!!! Surely we won’t let him go Otherwise I’ll be fuming

In some way you can’t blame him , he’s not being given a go here ( and my assumption is he’s fit enough to do so if he’s not I’ll happily retract that statement).

Yes I understand but he needs to be given a go from what I’ve seen his better than our entire backline besides Tom

I am struggling with the concept that Albert would go to the Dogs because of "his good relationship with Barrett from his Manly days". Barrett was FG coach, Hoppa in the juniors. Unless Baz was spending a disproportionate time with the juniors and not the FG squad (which might explain a few things), I call BS on the supposed move to the Dogs because of Baz. More likely it is to play with Will + money.

By the way, if I was 18 years old, had two knee re-cons, anxious about whether my career would ever get off the ground, off-contract and a club who my brother played for came and offered me $$$ (and a great deal more than my current club), I would take the cash.

It might come down to wanting a future at FB and with Tom there he might go just for the opportunity. Not saying the money wouldn't be a bonus but if he is a superstar FB in the making what are we going to do?

Having said that last time with Will Des was leaving so he didn't try to keep him. Maybe there is a plan to move Tom to reduce the amount of ground to cover due to his injuries?

Fingers crossed we can hang on to him and see what the hype is all about.

Let’s be serious here

The kid is coming back from the most serious knee injury you can get, has no training base underneath him, has very little experience playing outside of his age group against men, has no lower grade stuff to get match fitness back into his legs, and people think it’s a great idea to throw him to the Wolves straight into first grade ?
