Yup, the Manly Physio (as posted somewhere else I think) said he'd been cleared and had been doing contact work, basically said it's all go!

Not sure about game time though. In Des we , etc.

I heard that clubs have been trying to arrange some kind of informal or even 9's type matches just to give the rest of their squads a little match fitness, not sure if they can get it happening though. Very hard to break into the team without having played.
Great concept, training and game time are waaay different.
I would have thought actual 13 a side footy was more appropriate, even a weekly knockout style cup?
The high octane of 9's, particularly after a long layoff can create it's own problems, due to the extra high intensity and non stop action....
Then again....any contact like this is better than sitting in the lounge room or local bar....

I won't be surprised at all to see him turn up in 2020 at some time...such a quality player.
Along with young Bradman Best at Newcastle, rated future Stars of the game for good reason.
The ONLY reason he would be held back is the Winning combination Manly have at this time, with both Taufua and Garrick playing well....to drop 1 at this time when they have done nothing wrong, is not always a great thing for team morale.

I would be surprised if we don't see Wuster-Schuster and Hoppa 3 at some point this year ...

Normally clubs go through about 25-30 players a season .... we have just been lucky so far ..

Clubs that go all the way or close to generally use use less than that, 23-25
All going well, they dont get a run.

Bradman Best says hi

Got to agree with Rosko here.

Sure Best and Hoppa are both exceptional young talents but atm that is where the similarities end.

Best made his debut last year and whilst coming off an injury in pre-season it is hardly 2 years out with two ACL's, basically he was much better positioned to make an impact then Hoppa is atm.

For your first game to be your debut in the NRL after all his injuries would be crazy.

If some form of reserve grade/matches start later this year he may have a shot but I think it would take a hefty injury toll at this stage for us to see him
