I raise you Ronnie Gibbs and crusher.and the same for Menzies ... that centre will be no good in the forwards .... and Steven Knight

Watmough and glen Stewart are only 37 years old, I would sign them up and stick them in the 2nd row, can’t be any worst than the chocolate soldiers we have at at the moment.and the same for Menzies ... that centre will be no good in the forwards .... and Steven Knight
I saw a recent photo of choc he is seriously ripped.Watmough and glen Stewart are only 37 years old, I would sign them up and stick them in the 2nd row, can’t be any worst than the chocolate soldiers we have at at the moment.
What the photo does not show is that his knee is still seriously stuffed (I expect)...I saw a recent photo of choc he is seriously ripped.
The idea of trying out Parker in the second row has been floated on here for more than a season. I don't mind the experiment. Ditto for Suli.
Parker is good defensively and runs straight. He is not fast enough to be a centre. So why not? But surely we are not that weak that we have to experiment in First Grade before trying it out in Reserve Grade? Give Parker/Suli a run in the forwards with the Workers. See if there is any hope of the move succeeding before risking it all in the NRL.
Maybe he was trying to channel the Fatty VautinI like ailoi and on the weekend he played great but at one point getting back onside he had the bobble heads going big time. This is a big indicator of tiredness He was gassed and was struggling big time, still tried hard but i think he needs some more fitness to get much more out of him..
He has plenty of touches works hard but it was still funny. His noggen almost fell off
Aloiai was great - loved him racing out of the line once and putting a huge shot on. We need more of that - getting off the line and smashing someone.I like ailoi and on the weekend he played great but at one point getting back onside he had the bobble heads going big time. Nope, no Croker, Cust to 9, Schuster to 6, Foran to 14Can't see it, but this is how we should line up next week.....maybe.
Harper, Saab, Parker, Walker, Suli, Foran, Cherry-Evans, Paseka, Croker, Taupau, Gosiewski, Schuster, Trbojevic. Bench - Cust, Aloiai, Keppie, Sipley.
I wonder though ... what price we get a surprise Turbo boost at fullback?
He has been knocked out in the “tough going “ one in from the sideline half a dozen times. His first tackle of the year and he was in Disneyland. He gets smashed regularly and is clearly targeted. The Parker issue for second row was suggested 2 years back. Its worth a try.. Too slow for centre but would be fast for second row and a good defender and enjoys the tough going. May not succeed, but worth a try. My gut feeling suggests it could be a winner.
Watched the game with Nik Kosef last Saturday at Broady Bowlo. He works security there these days.Like all of us shaking his head where we are at now.I don’t mind the idea, personally. Has the right attributes, and TBH he is as big as Beaver ever was, if not heavier - so physicality shouldn’t be a problem. Yes he gets worked over a bit, but he’ll also have a bigger body or two next to him in the line... Plus he normally at least bends the line running one wider, so ought to be able to use his speed and step to good effect closer in against bigger slower players (maybe).
Exactly. A great way of moving Parker out of centre and Walkrr to centre.I totally agree, I just think Des is going to try it. I think it might be his excuse to get out of conceding that the Walker experiment didn't work. The narrative will be that Walker's shift is one of necessity so that Brad can cover our depleted second row stocks.
I can just see Des doing something like this, but I agree, it certainly is a risk and I'd much prefer to see Saddler come into the squad. We would be able to get an exemption given three backrowers have gone down.
Either way, I'd have Walker back to the centres which most wanted from the start. Harper to fullback.
said that 2 weeks ago....... glad you agree..also said Garrick should go...Jake to second row and Saddler to lock.
Parker gets a job in the media and Walks to centre.
Funa or Harper at the back.
Haha I'm happy with him playing 40 to 50 mins if he rips in like he has. He's tired cos he's having a fair dinkum dig and trying to lift the boys.I like ailoi and on the weekend he played great but at one point getting back onside he had the bobble heads going big time. I want Walks to centre desperately. Other than not finding a cover for Tommy, him not playing centre for three years is the greatest blunder the club has committed.Exactly. A great way of moving Parker out of centre and Walkrr to centre.
And Daniel Gartner to boot.Oh if only our side was running out with Nick and beaver.
