2019 State of Origin Chat. DECIDER!

Happy with the changes but I would like another big bopper (i thought Matt Prior might have been picked again)...

I would have kept Lattrell but get why he was dropped - he looked bored in game 1 and didnt seem to be working with the players around him in either attack or defence

What's he going to teach them? How to retire, save his team from including his salary from their salary cap and have it replaced by some BS job by the NRL machine? I'm sure that would never happen after the Dragons got away with murder in 2011 ...

Oh look who they used with him in the picture:

I cannot understand what everyone sees in Prior??? Can someone please enlighten me? Talk about overrated......NSW selectors must be desperate if they were considering him!

Also, how the hell does Wighton get picked at left centre

From Alexander's comments on Fox, it appears both he & Fittler are fans of Wighton & appreciated his effort in Game One - despite the dumb intercept pass. Let's hope they have got it right. I think the Blues' game plan will involve a lot of ball movement, both in the ruck & out wide when possible.

This is the weakest forward pack NSW has named in recent memory.

There is a lot of quality, toughness & strike power in the back row. Less so in the front row with Klemmer, Haas, McLean & James unavailable. Maybe RCG would have been a better option than Saifiti - time will tell. Cooke is a very potent dummy half, esp. with excellent support players such as Turbo, Tedesco, Maloney etc.

I can't accept the dropping of Mitchell and playing Wighton at Centre...........madness

Also if a back goes down what is the contingency, Graham just after an ACL to the centres? Murray?

Side is unbalanced, personally I think Wighton is overated but sure keep him in the 14 for cover and keep Mitchell

Seems to be a lot of selections based on airy fairy **** in the blues team. They were a prop short last year and because they won they continued. Its obvious NSW want to run qld off there feet but the refs decide the ruck speed not NSW and its a bit one dimensional really.

And essentially that was game 1 , blues had early ball, ref was keeping them apart and Nsw look unstoppable , then the ref put the whistle away, the ruck got slower, the 10 got skinnier and then the better go forward got the upper hand.

I presume its an arvo game in Perth which will help ball movement and a fast game if its dry

Good players, not a balanced team

5:30pm WA time to get the 7:30pm Nine sunday slot.

Light rain is predicted for the weekend over there which should soften that hard Optus surface 😎

He can’t teach them anything. Tom is streets ahead of him, and Wighton is a little better than gasnier. They should ignore his drivel.

Wighton to the centre's ahead of Mitchell......remembering that the last time Wighton actually started any game in the centres was for Country Origin....in 2016.

Three back rowers on the bench.....

A rookie prop in what could be a series deciding game.....

Did Freddie, Buderus and Johns go on a Saturday night bender before picking their team?

In all honesty, this is the NSW team I would have chosen given who's available and who isn't:

James Tedesco
Josh Addo-Carr
Latrell Mitchell
Josh Morris
Tom Trbojevic
James Maloney
Nathan Cleary
Reagan Campbell-Gillard
Damien Cook
Paul Vaughan
Boyd Cordner
Tyson Frizell
Jake Trbojevic

Jack Wighton
Dale Finucane
Cameron Murray
Tariq Sims

Agree on the big bopper and Latrell has a bit of self-absorbment about him, a la Dylan Walker.
