    Brett Stewart still involved?

Hope they're both doing great. How lucky we were to have them. Would be a positive to have them both involved at Manly again, but respect their need for a different direction in life.

    Brett Stewart still involved?

    Ah...that's great to read. Cheers.

    Brett Stewart still involved?

I haven't noticed Brett around the playing group in quite some time. Is he still involved part-time with the coaching staff? He seemed to be the only past great who came back to the playing group fold in some capacity in more recent years. With some thoughts on here that it would be great to...

    Post-Game Discussion Penrith V Manly [Round 14, 2024]

If only we had defensive line speed and purpose like Penrith do. We only do it once every six games or so. They rush up...leaves us with little go forward. We stand and watch.... as Luai dances and picks his targets. Very disappointing. We can score tries...but our defence, or lack thereof...

    Post-Game Discussion Warriors V Manly [Round 6, 2024]

Lots of heart and effort shown today. The real Manly way! I think if Brown plays, with his go forward, we probably win. I'll take a draw against a very good team, on their home turf. All deserve praise. With the exception of Paulo; who does not have any purpose to his runs. His first choice with...

It was Des all along coaching thread

For what it's worth, I've been told that Cartwright will definitely NOT be the head first grade coach next year. He thought he was going to be, but that decision was changed. For me that only leaves Toovey or Hasler.....and I'd be happy with either. Anyone else appointed (given there are no...

    Big Announcement Wed 3/10/18

Oh we may have an off season.....but definitely no off-season!

    Big Announcement Wed 3/10/18

If these rumours of an ownership change do have substance....why would we need to look "outside" for a new coach? If the Penns were no longer owners, I really don't see why URM or anyone else would not opt for the chance to put the Manly...back into Manly...and either perhaps Toovey or Hasler...

    The Sea Eagles crisis!!

Yes, on the scoreboard it wasn't a bad effort against the Storm. Though Scott, and even Gus on 100% Footy, seem to forget about the fact that Melbourne rested 5 Origin players....and still won, be it by a point. Puts things in a bit more perspective.

    Gus Gould v Todd Greenberg

Yep, it sure is hard to watch a game these days without getting frustrated at the officials. And while we're/I'm ranting, other than different colours on the jumpers, I defy anyone to distinguish one team from another in terms of style of play. It's like a script each and every game. 16 teams...

Cam Smith's "multiple threads- only one declared"

Smith is definitely a polarizing figure unless you support Melb/Qld, and yes, a protected species as far as Refs go. But taking the Maroon and White glasses off, any guys who plays 42 Origin games (that's literally 2 full seasons of football) and Test football for as long as he has, at the level...

    Kiwi Tooves

My 40+ years as a Manly devotee suffered a huge denting when Tooves was shafted. To be honest I've been unable to fully regain that unbridled devotion. Maybe one day. We've had some amazing players, but no one tougher, or who played with more heart than Tooves. The way Manly "management" treated...

[Resurrected] Darkest Era in Rugby League

Cheers Globaleagle. Happy to be part of the Manly die-hard community. And yes, lots of crap hurled our way in recent times. We've always loved the hate....(easy when you're winners) the unfair and bias treatment....the one rule for all....except Manly....not so much!

[Resurrected] Darkest Era in Rugby League

Hello all. My first post after many moons reading (and yes, I have joined the tipping comp!) I agree with a lot that has been written. Personally I'll add that my passion for watching is about as low as it's ever been. Proud Manly man for near on 40 years, but I don't feel "it" anymore even...
