For mine, Walters lost his dressing room, simple as that. He challenged his players with his "We will play Finals" statement after their Round 25 win over Parramatta ... and the very next week they responded by losing 6–40 to the Dolphins which ended all hopes of playing Finals.

Yes, that was my first thought too. Walters biggest mistake was making that statement!

Billy slater has stated he doesn’t want to become an nrl head coach.

I'm not sure what's going on up there, but I don't think it is controversial to say that the Broncos have underachieved for nearly 20 years now.

Two grand finals since 2006 is not bad in itself. But given the size of their junior catchment, the quality of their squads, them being financially stable (being majority-owned by a News Corp subsidiary), frequently having Thursday or Friday night free-to-air games so significant commercial and TPA advantages... they should really have more to show for it.

Walters, one of Brisbane's greatest players, coached the Broncos for four years but after taking the team to the cusp of a premiership in 2023 they failed to make the finals this season.

Walters was prob only gonna be sacked next year mid season anyway, so just do it now. Not a bad move imo. Surely they have a replacement sorted. Slater might make sense. Honestly who else other than Madge maybe?

Or Baz has done a Bradbury, last man standing and has skated through the middle. All of Kevvie's entourage have left, it's going to be a fresh start at the Broncs. Trent could be collateral damage, depends on weather the new coach is excepting on having Barrett alongside him in the coach's box. Watch this space I guess..lol.

If your club tells you they’re hiring TB as an assistant coach for next year, you best start clearing out your desk asap.

Yeah, Reynolds will be rubbing his hands together happy as s.... Reynolds even got Kevvie's old job on MMM up here after Kevvie departed when being criticized by the other hosts and his son Billy who was on the show also quit in protest...It's hilarious.
