There is no doubt the Dogs' duo are dumb. But this incident wouldn't have been publicised had it not been for social media. It seems that the two 'victims' couldn't wait to boasts about their conquests.
I just wonder how many times such incidents have gone unnoticed because all parties have kept their activities private.

They have been stood down by their club ..... I assume for breaking club protocol .... not the NRL ..
so for mine it is not so much a case of double standards ... but more that Bulldogs have a higher standard and expectation of their players than Parra or Canberra ....

btw ... I agree with those comments about no laws being broken ... and had they met these girls socially, dressed up to the nines .... no one would care ... but meeting them at a school visit and going on with it shows a very distinct lack of judgement and discipline on the part of two blokes ... they deserve to be censured and diciplined by their clubs for dumb ...

Can't speak for earlier generations ... but I can tell you with a degree of confidence ... that 17 year old school girls have been shagging blokes since at least the 60's ....

That is missing the point...it's the circumstances around how it came to happen that have left a sour taste in people's mouths.

From what I read it was the girls who made initial contact by following the players' instagram.
Certainly the Dogs' players should have been more savvy about the possible repercussions but I don't think there was any contact (phone numbers/emails etc) exchanged on the school visit.

I tried to put my point across (which was mainly, if your 17 year old daughter comes home from SCHOOL , and says I banged CHN from the dogs last night Dad, there could be a bit of flak coming our way, how would you react?).
I wouldn’t care if she’s the age of consent, or wether it was consensual. That is not what the players are there to do. Talk about sport, life goals, give the kids something to remember. (not an STD).
