Just heard a report this morning that the Storm has the maximum T P A "s level valued at some 780 k and the Dragons the least at only 26 k . Not too sure how good and accurate these disclosure figures are and especially in regard to the Broncos and Roosters perceived state of affairs with T P A "s

If this is true, where is the equity in a system that allows one team 3/4 million dollars more per year than another. And remember the Storm are one team that has consistently been fined for being over the cap. Little wonder why they are successful.

And then there's this Smith/Thurston debacle. If I was a long term loyal player who put everything into the game for $300,000 odd a year and I saw these two highly paid players getting a gimme by the League, I'd be really p.ssed. Why should the highest paid players get even more for nothing, while the hard working forward at the end of his career, broken, and with limited prospects, gets nothing, unless his club pitches in

I would say that it was a fairly creditable report and that is only the official version , who knows what the unofficial reality is and with other clubs also ? But for sure what an unfair and inequitable advantage for an already favored club like the Storm . Equivalent to one additional very elite player or a couple of at least good quality players .

This article from the roar believes Carney shouldn't be allowed back in the game. What a load of garbage and no mention of lodge and preferential treatment afforded to him and the donkeys by Greenberg to allow him back in. That should be the headline .

I've had my say on that forum and I agree with you entirely Spartan Eagle. What a distorted lot of tripe. Since when has stupid behaviour without intent to do serious harm been considered worse that intended violence against others. The guy needs to understand the law, and why for example Manslaughter is a lesser charge than Murder for example. It all comes down to INTENT. Carney did some stupid things, some placing the public at risk. But there was no intent to do harm. Violent offenders intend harm.

They obviously played against each but I wonder how much Baz (40) and Todd (31) crossed paths. From what I can see Baz was in rep sides earlier than Carney. Anyone have thoughts on the benefits disadvantages of having Baz and Todd playing in Sydney at similar times, both playing five-eighth for NSW and Australia? He might just relate to Baz a pretty well discipline wise?

Could very well be optimistic, but how great everyone responds and speaks with regards to TB makes you think he could flourish in a team like ours. He has a point to prove and our team is being touted as wooden spooners this season. He’ll fit in well imo and take the piss out of the opposition/haters/doubters
