Just heard a report this morning that the Storm has the maximum T P A "s level valued at some 780 k and the Dragons the least at only 26 k . Not too sure how good and accurate these disclosure figures are and especially in regard to the Broncos and Roosters perceived state of affairs with T P A "s
If this is true, where is the equity in a system that allows one team 3/4 million dollars more per year than another. And remember the Storm are one team that has consistently been fined for being over the cap. Little wonder why they are successful.
And then there's this Smith/Thurston debacle. If I was a long term loyal player who put everything into the game for $300,000 odd a year and I saw these two highly paid players getting a gimme by the League, I'd be really p.ssed. Why should the highest paid players get even more for nothing, while the hard working forward at the end of his career, broken, and with limited prospects, gets nothing, unless his club pitches in
