I get that and totally agree and respect what you have just said. But something is telling me that he has changed and that we can get the best out of him. We have such a strong culture that we'll make a man out of him. We have that tendency at this club. (except for Nate Myles.. but the joy of offloading him to the scum made it all worthwhile).
If I'm wrong I'll eat my own words... And NO, I will not drink anything with it!
 
Just watched 360 on fox and Ikin and kent think Greenberg maybe be a little lenient on the Manly cap scandal , saying that Tpp need to be relaxed . Went on to say that Penn and Greenberg have been meeting for weeks on this and said that he wants your Manlys etc not to be going through this year to year. We have 800 k to spend but its frozen until its sorted out , but expect an announcement in the coming 7 days. They have us missing the 8 and finishing 10th because we have no recognized 6 . Ikin said its not so much about missing Green , its about taking the heat off Dce so he can play his natural game . Todd Carneys name was thrown up as a possible 6 but no definite.

Look, I agree that we are all a little politically correct and quick to condemn people's mistakes these days, but you are just doing the exact opposite and hosing down some pretty serious behaviour to suit your "sign Carney" agenda.

He is a class A moron but so are a lot of NRL stars so makes no difference to me if he comes or not.

I totally agree and see your point. But I think drink driving is at the lower end of bad behaviour committed by footy players. I know I have done it, I’m sure many of my feathered friends have, we make mistakes. I would love if we signed him. Call me crazy, does anyone think he could play center while d Walker is out? Surely he is a marked improvement on matt wright... if croker crokes, he can play 5/8 when walks is back. If croker thrives, carney can play utility and push Lewis brown to Reggie’s. Thoughts?

Any game plan that involves Brown being pissed off to reggies is a winner.

Very smart call and with no disrespect to Brown who does his best but is average at best, the options are now there in 2018.
 
I'm ok with Hastings, or another utility grabbing the 14. I do still think Brown is way, way better than he's given credit for here, but that's just my opinion. He can slot into almost any role, maybe to his detriment.

I still root for the Lewis. Hope he has a cracking season. Unfair on him to suggest a trial, with 3 other actual first graders is the benchmark for his season.

The reason they are going to be lenient is because they've got nothing. They know Manly has probably the least tpa's of every other club and if they go hard at Manly they've have to go through each club which will open up a huge can of worms. They are **** scared it will blow up in their face. I said it on another thread, Manly will get a warning or a fine but we won't lose any points or salary cap.
 
Just heard a report this morning that the Storm has the maximum T P A "s level valued at some 780 k and the Dragons the least at only 26 k . Not too sure how good and accurate these disclosure figures are and especially in regard to the Broncos and Roosters perceived state of affairs with T P A "s
