Lol, I keep hearing our players have only won 6 of the past 20 or something, so are there really any you'd be upset to lose?Flanagan has already spoken to player managers about current Manly players. And not just recently, but some time ago, and it will come out in due course.
Sill can not see much difference whether Flanagan stays or leaves in the present circumstances
Already would have established some normal familiarity with the Manly playing group , so doubt again if it does affect any more opportunity or influence to entice players away one way or another
Most players are still under contract with the still probable exception of Parker and Bulemor who Manly looks likely to retain .
More fringe type players like Harper , Boyle unlikely to have much appeal . Latu and Samual Fainu [ who knows where they may end up or landed next season ] but not apparently the Tigers , regardless of Flano "s current role at Manly . Blacktown players or juniors [ or the ones who do seem to offer something good ] , maybe a bit more problematic
Not a good look in some ways but again probably no big deal in the overall scheme of things providing there is no noticeable change in his expected or normal input and general coaching duties to the club and for the remainder of this season .
Do/did you have the same concerns about Des at the GC or Barrett at Parra or Arthur at Parra or Cartright at the Broncos or Balin at the Broncos? Or do you feel we've obtained a massive advantage over the Dragons or the Sharks with Flannogan? Coaches move on, that's just the way it is. I think we have bigger problems than worrying about him having inside knowledge of our team.I'm more concerned about what he might do next season and beyond with his inside knowledge of Manly. Flanno won't be restrained by any sentiment towards Siebold or the Sea Eagles I don't imagine. He needs to go imo.
Barrett and the other coaches aren't openly working for an opposing NRL team while employed in their current position.Do/did you have the same concerns about Des at the GC or Barrett at Parra or Arthur at Parra or Cartright at the Broncos or Balin at the Broncos? Who are the suckers in this scenario? If we don't hear any reports (shortly) about Samuela and / or Latu (and that's a big IF), it's because they've signed with The Dragons, but they'll try and sell it to all the sucker's on the premise it was done after the season when Flanagan had left, and most of those same sucker's will lap that up with a silver spoon and chocolate syrup. Hahaha

How does that make any difference to them having inside information on our club? They still worked for Manly and then went straight to another club. Being "open" about it seems irrelevant, unless you believe no one talks to people behind the scenes.Barrett and the other coaches aren't openly working for an opposing NRL team while employed in their current position.
Simply the people who buy the crap. I'm at the point Flanagan could fart into an empty jam jar, seal it up and sell it to some as Calvin Klein cologne for men.Who are the suckers in this scenario?
I don't understand what most of this response has to do with what I was questioning. I was responding to someone's concerns about Flannagon having inside knowledge about Manly and going to another club. My response to that is it irrelevant and that we have bigger issues to worry about. Indeed, your section where you say "forget the strategies and mechanisms about inside knowledge" suggests you agree. You don't think the players see a senior member of staff promoting, selling, raqueteering, acquiring, advancing an opposition club would lead to apathy? Consider the age, type and mentality of these players as well. 7 of whom were easily convinced to forfeit a game.
Secondly, forget the strategies and mechanisms about inside knowledge, you don't think acquiring quality talent for the opposition (when WE have a clearly sub par roster - i.e. he's getting Dragons to speak to Tino and Fifita) - I won't even start again about our Fifita, Tuitavake, L Fainu and S Fainu approaches for example - is a concern?
Oooof, that'll do me..
Yeah, I didn't articulate what I meant clearly. I'm concerned that Flanno, being cut from the win at all costs cloth, will bide his time and eventually land a few sucker punches on our "Mr friendly" new age coach. I don't think he will do much at the end of this year, but next season is another story,How does that make any difference to them having inside information on our club? I'm in the "Flannogan should go now" camp but not coz I think he's going to give away inside information. The longer he's around players, the more chance there is of him taking players that might be half decent, with him. And it's just a bad look.
Hmmmm. Not something I'd invest MY money in. Not sure my Jane Try Stand seated neighbours would appreciate that. Having said that, that smell has emanated from the field a couple of times this year.Simply the people who buy the crap. I'm at the point Flanagan could fart into an empty jam jar, seal it up and sell it to some as Calvin Klein cologne for men.
I'm no Flannogan fan (I don't even know how to spell his name and I can't call him Flanno) but do you really think Des wouldn't try it on or even Cartright or Ballin? They were all popular with players and they all want to succeed. As some have said here already, if players don't want to stay, I don't want them to stay.Yeah, I didn't articulate what I meant clearly. Both Barrett and Ciraldo have taken several Panthers stars across to Canterbury.
Neither had the audacity to openly work for Canterbury while still employed at Penrith.

The rest of the your 2nd paragraph I tend to agree with (as you'll see in my other post) I just don't think it was relevant to my original post.
But now my befuddled brain is getting weary.
It's always good to have a coffee with my waffle, so all good here. See how easy it is get people on the same page. Now all we have to do Ryan, is get everyone to have coffee and some waffle and all the World's misunderstandings will be resolved 🧇☕Fair enough haha. Annnnd after all my waffle we work out we are in the same page. Hahaha, sorry mate..
Thank you @NREagleFlanagan has been busy.....
