Britain’s longest-serving monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, has died, Buckingham Palace has announced.

Her death was announced at 6.30pm London time (3.30am AEST), prompting a wave of public mourning and triggering the immediate ascension of Prince Charles as King.

I don't care for debate on the issue of the monarchy just wanted to pass this news on.

Think about it. For the posters on here older and younger, she's been part of our whole lives in a small way.
Little legend performing duties at 96, two days before she passed. Our team needs to channel that type of heart and dedication.
