Every RL club runs at a loss but are bankrolled by their respective LG, except ours. We run at a loss. Penn knew that all along so is expected to make up the yearly shortfall, and rightly so. Max Delmege did.
The LG is/was a an asset of the MWSE, an icon of our team and should belong to it's members and memories.

Penn had no right IMHO to sell it to recoup all of the money he has spent, plus some.

You own this club for love and passion, not as a business.

I think the wharf the chinese would be interested in would be the one at Bangaroo .... they quite like casinos

..and places where they can park their Aircraft Carriers.

the chinese are having problems taking money out of their country. Look at whats happened to the chinese football owners of late. AC Milan Aston Villa etc.

Middle East group is who the Penns should have sold to.

Love China, they are only doing what the Yanks have done for years. Their technology company who sponsor the Raiders are looking to get more involved in the NRL, hence wanting to buy a team as the Aus Govt will not let them in to work on our communication networks, so they need another way in, done it before with the Raiders sponsorship.

Look at were the US was and where China was at the start of gulf war one. China has grown exponentially and the US is much deeper in debt and more divided.

They were a great assett

Yep. We were at the forefront of women in league in the most genuine way. Now we hold a lunch for mothers, wives, and girlfriends.
So sad, they were such strong and vibrant women who genuinely loved the club and worked to both raise money and profile for the club.
