The No-Look News (Schuster Chronicles)

I understand that people have their favorites but either they have short memories or rewrite history in their own minds. If Schuster were signed by any other NRL club he would be in their starting 17 whenever fit. He has a very high work rate in defence and is a beautiful ball player. He has nothing to prove he just needs some luck with injuries and time back on the field. When he is back we will benefit big time. You don't get match fit at training so his injury must not be ready yet.
Its a bit like some on here last year when we were 0-4 saying the perhaps Turbo wasn't worth the trouble given his dodgy hammies. Yeah nah......

Does anyone have any actual information on Schuster's injury recovery?

Actual information? No of course not!

It seems that for whatever reason ‘Shu’ takes a little longer to heal from his injuries than others and Des wouldn’t risk bringing him back early, given how important he is to the team.

The weekends results are only on Des when we loose. If we win you won't hear a peep from the cheap seats thats for sure. Funny old game this one.

If you're alluding to me, I'm very vocal after a win. But then again, so are the self professed, self proclaimed corporate box seats who come on to rip into forum posters after each win (and you know who you are). Could that possibly be why the cheap seats are quiet? Funny how that works, huh - so it tis a funny old game.

I also find it interesting the corporate box seats tend to disregard any and all positive comments by the cheap seats after a win (or through the week). Probably because it doesn't fuel their ammo supply and sustain them haha.

Lastly, interesting how you frame those who critique & measure the team "cheap seats", but it IS perspective (so thank you), that the clique (again, you know who you are) think you're above others who don't share your view, or way of vocalizing their opinions, and that's pretty sad.

NB: Koula was possibly one of our best players (nay, WAS one of the best) last weekend. If the kid needs a break after 1-2 games, that's a worry. That said, I hope at a minimum Bullemor forces Des hand with a stand out performance (or are we agreeing that form for the fringe players isn't important?).

What I find interesting old mate .. is the fact that those that proclaim the loudest that all opinions should be respected ... are the first ones to be all hissy fitty about them ..

Anyway, cheap seats, dress circle pfffpfff ... I always had a players pass ... so they can kiss my arrse .

The point of difference for me is an opinion about The Sea Eagles on and off the field (and everything that includes) which most I'm sure are open to absolutely anything, and/or an opinion about a forum poster, which to me is tedious and boring (and I get it entertains and fuels some).

I love getting in a deep, thick, solid debate about footy. If I'm proven wrong by someone, absolutely happy to change my opinion, and be humble about it (I'm sue it's the same with most). Have a laugh about it even.

But to hear this person is this or that, they should do this or that, they should feel this or that. It's kinda what's driven some away. And we've lost some amazing posters, who just wanted to vent or share their opinions on the team.

BUT, you're old school...so I know what you're thinking mate haha. "Toughen the proverbial up !". Am I right?

I also enjoy the actual footy debate ... but then I get bored and love a good blue ..

I am of the school that believes that everybody is entitled to their opinion .. and that others are entitled to weigh and assess that opinion ... and then are entitled to cry Bullshiite ..

Wasn't directing at you directly mate. Just a classic supporters line that its all on the coach when a side is selected that some don't agree with but on the occasion those selections don't cause a loss its very rare to see a reply in the positive position.

When Garrick was again selected at fullback instead of wonderkid Koula a few weeks back there was uproar amoungst some. But he did and continues to do a great job and its all on Des that one.

He's a multiple premiership winning coach that probably have more footy smarts than most of us combined.

The ironic thing is there is nobody who talks more about how others should post then @Ryan

Are you talking on behalf of a group there, mate @:D?Surely you don't need to call in your allies, when you're trying to insult someone? Put your big boy pants on bud.

Yes, I'm asking people to discuss the football topic at hand, rather "THAN" each other. I appreciate that may confuse you, given this is a footy forum, and your preference is to ride forum posters, but it's certainly what I'm trying to get across.

If you're more obsessed in "us", than footy though, I guess "we" can take that as a compliment (so carry on) haha.

A group? Alllies?

Not trying to insult just noticing a lot of your post the last few weeks focused on the mechanisms of the forum rather than footy.

Whilst your arguement seems to be that people talk footy rather that the mechanisms of the forum.

Seems a bit contradictory.

I think all this chat is a storm on a teacup, forum seems the same as its been the last 10 or 15 years or whatever I've been on it for.

Lets just move on

Haha.....what are you on about?

Last year was his rookie year (after a single debut game in 2020) and he made 25 appearences.
I'm on about that he was injured in his debut in 2020 and out for the remaining 3 games. Last year, which was not his rookie year, he was out injured for 6 weeks from rounds 12 - 17.

I did say "imo", so its a case of each to their own...
