He's got to be in there somewhere, he'll be coming of the bench. I'd rest Marty, it's only the Titans.

Its a tough call , but it would set the culture competition for spots bar high, with very little downside, that i can see this week. Even though he is awesome i dont see his contribution this week being better than anyone he replaces , in the positions we have seen him occupy thus far

And thats only if he is available this week, next week could be a whole different story

"competition for spots bar high" can't recall the last time we had so much depth in the fwds and backs tbh..

This is the kind of game we should be trying out different combinations especially our young guns to bring their development up to the level they need to be when injuries occurs .If Schuster is available he should be in there somewhere as he needs game time before we come up against the top teams .Remember our goal is to beat the top teams before the finals and I'm confidant we will .

Also the utility situation or players that seem to have no defined position is mixed in this decision
Walker, lawnton, schuster and no specialist hooker doesnt help.

Then we have jake playing fancy half a game which , so the bench has to compensate for that with forward minutes and not more utilty type

I am not saying it wouldnt work, but i think its a bit of overkill, and why we struggle against better teams

For team balance , my view is for schu to play he has to replace walker and i cant believe i said that out loud. Walkers on baby, walkers on

Only one beatable team that you can bank on, and that's the Tigers. Injury, suspensions, covid and SOO will eventually give our underused squad players there chance.

We tend to forget that Lawnton was a hooker with the Warriors. Agree with lots of your comments, but right now Dessies bench setup is working well. But will need tweaking a bit, against Storm and Penrith though.

As well as Davey has played, I think the Shoe has to come back in on the left edge. We're lacking ball playing option out wide, particularly with Tom out. Last year Tom was that option on the right and Shoe on the left. He gives Foran the option of attacking a weakness if he sees it or giving early ball out wide to see what Shoe can do.

Not a bad idea to rest Marty as suggested but we've got Toff playing with Blacktown that can come in for him if needed.

i love lawntons work but he was repurposed as a hooker as warriors and it still shows somewhat.
that was my recollection anyway, but his spark, energy, defence , hooker back up and versatility make him a must. IMO he would be the best 13 we have as he would love to play some first receiver and is very cam murray with small detail plays. probably match fit short on that role currently

getting schuster, lawnton, and walker on the park together if all available, is still the challenge as they all have there roles, unless des moves frog or changes jakes role . these moves cause more ripples in the team to mend , ruck defence and first receiver roles as eg

Really keen on the idea of a Lawton - Walker rotation at 13

Jake should be part of the front row rotation with Aloiai, Paseka, and 1 more

Schuster is a good prospect but no one in the back row should make way for him currently. Walker stays on bench and lawnton relieves frog and schuster doesnt

He hasnt played in 6 months

We have no need to rush him back. Give him a game at blacktown or another week recovery to see if injuries or form determines

Tough call mate, because he opens up a whole new element of X-factor for a whole side of the field. I'd still play him at lock - unleash him both sides. Move Jake to prop. Lawton to start. Get another big bopper on the bench.

Yeah it would be and am not sold either way really. Its just a convo and they are all pretty decent options atm

If he wasnt returning from such a long layoff it would be harder

Schuster is a walk in, and absolutely should be. Our most naturally gifted footballer by a long way (with the exception of maybe turbo)

Jake has peaked as a lock and I think its time he moved back to the front row. Schuster has more skill than Jake and would be better linking with DCE, Foz and Turbo (when he's back) on either side of the ruck.
