The No-Look News (Schuster Chronicles)

From memory I recall an interesting interview with Goggins on a Rogan podcast (I think). It gave quite a bit of his background story, which was interesting (part scary, part inspiring). I think you would find some of his stuff resonates with yourself, Bozo. 👍
Thank you HK , We can listen to all the good the bad and the mad people and learn lessons from all of them

Just whilst we are on the subject of Madness ....
The Mad Professors Winning Methods have not been what they used to be as his underperforming Titans team have sunk to the bottom of the table

Apart from Bellamy I would suggest that only Bennett can unlock the talent. Bennett's biggest challenge will be the influences he he will have around him. (if he keeps them at the club).

(devils advocate)

So Schuster makes his whole reputation on throwing no-look passes and he gets the boot.

His replacement throws one in a season and everyone gushes all over him.

What must shoe be thinking.

If you remember, most of Josh’s were passed to invisible players that couldn’t hold the ball, hence they used to hit the grass quite frequently.

Wayne Bennett has decided to take a punt on potential, with Josh Schuster confirmed to be joining the Rabbitohs until the end of 2025.

Schuster, who left Manly this year but mutual consent, has had a troubled start to his career but will now look to revive his time in the NRL under new coach Bennett.

"We think a comeback to the NRL with our club will be just what Josh needs to get his career back on track," Rabbitohs head of football Mark Ellison said in a statement.

Schuster left Manly in April after playing 50 games for the club.

The 23-year-old spent time at five-eighth and in the second row but failed to nail down a spot and eventually left, despite being contracted until the end of 2027 on a deal worth around $800,000-a-season.

Manly and Schuster's management agreed on a payout before he departed.

After his release, Schuster opened up on his mental health battles, revealing "I wasn't really there mentally".

In August it emerged that South Sydney were considering a play for Schuster with that move now confirmed.

Good luck to him.

But I still don't think he understands playing NRL is not just about throwing no look passes and trying to skip to the outside by slowing down first. You have to be willing to get belted. (Foz, anybody ?)

I hope he's ok mentally because after all, that's the main thing.
