Didn "t think that Brian Kelly was contracted any further then this season for Manly and would certainly be valued more then the current and purported 160 K per season . Pretty open question as to what a realistic contract amount that he would be rated at now . Seems to have some better defensive reads now and just like last season , has started the season in good form and of course great if he can maintain it . Don "t think that he is presently at the State Of Origin level of a Steve Bell but again is going really well right now .

Glad he's getting some recognition but I'd be pissed if another club signed him. He's developing in much the same way as Steve Matai did, and he turned out all right.

Suli has potential but is unproven, Kelly alternately has the runs on the board!!

In 2017 Suli played 16 NRL games with the tigers before his personal issues struck .
Ability wise and Physically he has more potential than Kelly but so far Kelly has shown he has a better attitude
If Suli's Attitude changes , we have the next big thing in our roster IMO

In November 2016, he signed with the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles , after gaining a release from the final year of his Titans contract.

My statement was in regards to that article stating he was released (aka sacked) ,for some reason I recalled that we poached him from underneath their noses and not picking him up after he was released...Doesnt make any diff I suppose.

he was easily Top 3 on field last week and he will show throughout 2018 how good he is - that footwork is sublime.

Reminds me of Leilua Bozo...big strong quick and plenty of skill... he'd absolutely cane it in rugby. Hopefully we get him up to scratch because we'd then have 3 genuinely excellent centres when u throw in Kelly and Dylan. Add Brad Parker etc to the mix and we have an amazing core of talent vying for the spot next to Walker

I too thought he reminded me of a current QLD backline player last week but for me it was Will Chambers that I thought he was playing like. He had Chambers tenacity in defence every time he took someone over he side line, it was brilliant work. If he turns out like either of these players (Chambers/Gagai) we would be very fortunate to re-sign him before other clubs throw big offers at him. If he keeps up the form he’s shown already he could really dictate his next asking price and that will be an added bonus for our backline to have a young hungry BK playing for a bigger contract. Between Suli, Parker, Walks and BK I must commend the coaching staff and recruitment for unearthing and developing these young guns so that TB has a weekly headache of who to leave out!

Poor result today and although he had that one loose carry on the end of a break, Kelly has improved a lot over the off season, great on his feet and defensively can put a shot on and is much safer than last year.

Kels is always there in support and his sidestepping is great

Agreed mate. I actually think in terms of consistency he’s been one of our best for the first five rounds.
