The whole process has become a big game and we the fans and members are hostages to the outcomes. I think its fair to say that patience is wearing thin now and I would hope that Joe Kelly has given them a deadline to indicate their decision.

If they stay we can breath a sigh of relief and learn from this process as a club or If one of them or both of them go, remember the selfishness of all of this.

I want them to stay and make history in our colours but I also want to see a decision so we know one way or another, so unfair to keep the club dangling.

Please guys just put us out of our misery one way or another.

I'll be happy we just keep winning grand finals every few years, who owns the club or plays for it I can take or leave.
If Foz n Cherry sign I'll be very happy though I think both of them signing is unlikely

Yeah its true the club did that to Gift and yeah it was dead wrong what they did, end of the day he signed with the vermin pretty quickly. We knew that in May last year. What are Foz and DCE they waiting for?? and I say its equally unfair to not commit one way or another especially after the club has detailed its best offer.

Even if they both sign, I'll have difficulty thinking of them as solid Manly boys. More like shiny things for hire. Sad really.

I don't get all the hate towards them. I've never settled a new contract a year out from current expiration. Te longest I've had on that was 8 weeks as I was relocating over here

I'm smelling an Orford in their negotiations, and that is not a good thing. The dollars are massive for both. If that is what they are after, playing for the Gold Coast and getting flogged every week then so be it. I can only dream that both will stay and that would be truly fantastic as I want that. If it doesn't happen then sadly the cap is working to the advantage of other teams.

I certainly dont hate them! I hate the process that allows this to fester for decisions that will affect the 2016 season before a ball in anger is kicked for 2015. My concern is the uncertainty that this is causing this while they are deciding what to do. I know they are being advised to take their time and consider all options, my concern is there has been no consideration or hint about what they want to do. If we can at least get an idea then it allows everyone to take a deep breath and move on. This is all about what their desire is. To remain at the club and continue the legacy they have created or to depart the club for new ventures. Like the majority of everyone not just here but across rugby league I would like to know so that I can enjoy this season without this drama going on and on.

I think what would appease a lot of the fans would be even the smallest utterance of " I debuted at manly, the club have been great to me, my preference is to stay if that's possible, but I want to consider all options"

Surely there is part of them that feels this, and it wouldn't hurt for them to say it, we are been portrayed by the media as just another club throwing cash at them, rather than the incumbent club who they have an iota of loyalty towards. Manly haven't really been treated like this before and it's pretty poor form I reckon.

Look the season is over before it started the world is coming to an end so lets just give this season a miss---well that is how I feel too exhausted to support anymore-----oops that's right I was never a true fan anyway.

Lets just sign one of the two for $1.8m per season release the other and be done with already lol --- so the next 5yrs has less of this fan talk from Woman's Day/Telegraph.

It makes me uncomfortable when I like your posts. Stop it

Just kidding don't stop it post whatever

Don't hate the player hate the game.

Unfortunately stopping players from negotiating before their contract is due does not sit right with fair trade.
However I do think that there should be a cap on it. Players should only be able to start and finish the process in the off season giving them time to concentrate on the club they play for and offering enough time to train with their new team.

Negotiations at the start of the season are ludicrous and put you in a position where you have players signed with new clubs and have to play a season with their old club whilst having one eye on where they are headed. That is just crazy look at maloneys last year at the Warriors

I'd like to see a clause in contracts that prevent negotiations during the or before the last season. 4 months at the end of the season is ample time to negotiate and make a decision and reach the best outcome for all parties.

Well you must have some deep personal issues that you need to deal with if anonymous people expressing an opinion makes you feel uncomfortable lol---life should not be that hard to live.

Yeah I know it is hard to "like" a nick that you hate generally so it might be best to just keep "liking" the ones that don't make you feel uncomfortable.....

Whatever happens it's a win win for Manly. If they stay then we have the best halves combination since Sterling/Kenny Stuart/Daley. They'll stay because they want to be here. If 1 or both go they won't be anywhere near as good at another club, that club which will be a top 8 club will have spent a heap on 1 player that won't be worth it alone and we'll have plenty of cash to spend on someone else or more than 1 that will want to be here.

No argument with that Mick BUT let's get the job done now!!

If this continues into the season and isn't resolved until the end of the year the turmoil will be untenable.

Time for Kelly to say " righto you two, enough of the bull****, there's our offer who's signing"?, the first one to say " I need more time", goodo, I'll ring the other and offer him more cash.

Call their bluff, we are unlikely to keep both !!

That's what Arko would do. He would never have let players or managers dictate the agenda.

I have seen interviews with Toovey and more tellingly Matt Ballin. They both werent shy of stating that they believe the boys will stay. Especially Ballin, he looked like he really believed that we are the best chance of signing them and the way he described them was like the playing group are really happy. Contrary to several hack reports.
