Wasn't foz loops suing manly for 150k? I wonder how that went.
I don't think he can be bothered with chump change if the following is true (from the same Danny the Worm column linked above)

Deal of money

While on Foran, we are hearing more details about his deal with the Bulldogs. The figure is $3.2 million for three seasons. It's a big investment for the club. It may be the biggest player deal they have done.

That's massive coin for someone who is possibly both physically and mentally fragile. I wonder if the Dogs have got some performance clauses in there to give them some outs - let's hope not. Crazy money in my opinion.

They are crazy to pay $3.2m for a player with dodgy hammys.

Watch this blow up in hasler's face

Both Parra and Warriors thought that foran would be their messiah ha ha ha ha

Actually had a dream ages ago of Beau Scott ending he career of Forme in a tackle (like he did to Watme on the training paddock) ... could tonight be the night?

So sad for Kieran. So much talent but he has lost his way and is wasting his talent and his life.

Not so funny as watching Gutherson going from strength to strength in the blue and gold. Several laughed when I suggested this kid could end up playing SOO. Another two or so years of what he is doing and we might be crying. Another one that we let go of.

Would you be happier if we let Tom Turbo go and kept Gutho ? We cant keep them all , no club does . There is no use on crying over spilt milk .

Hindsight is an amazing thing. At the time I really disagreed that the club let Gutho go and now its showing what a stupid decision it is. Gutho is their best player at the moment and when I think of how he could have added a lot to the team, to me it is criminal that a quality junior is allowed to go and end up playing with our mortal enemy. I know the club let Gutho go cause he wanted to play full back. No one disputes that Snake and Tommy T were ahead of him at the time. Gutho had been out for the season and the club ditched him quick smart. I am personally pleased that Gutho is doing well but despise that it is for the Blue and Gold filth!

Gutho at 5/8, not full back. He's a goal kicker, a try scorer and has already won several best player awards at Parra. And the reason for bringing it up here is that he outplayed Foran.
Gutho being let go was in hindsight a bad choice, however at the time due to injuries and the position he was being played in, it was the right choice. What happens and what he does for other teams is not admissible in here, would we have gotten the same out of him? who knows?
Would we have played him in 5/8? I doubt it.

He was unfortunately a square peg.

The kid had talent and always did, he was just a victim of era. With that said, Parra have repeatedly tossed him about to varying positions, and whilst he has had some successes I would not put him up there as origin standard.

Foz was a special and rare talent, he unfortunately needed more support than he got, or better support than he received is probably more accurate.

There is no denying the ability of foz, he will not thrive playing along side Johnson, will he thrive playing alongside whomever they stick him next to at the dogs is another question. Des will get the best possible out of him that he has left and I wish him well, hopefully he refinds his talent and his peace

I thought that the warriors were supposed to be premiership contenders when Foran signed with them

I hope the dogs supporters are having a good look at the next 4 years while they wait for Foran to win them a title.

His body is shot and most likely his mind as well His career peaked in his early years with us and all downhill now

Not wanting to get too far into a debate about this, he was recognised as a special talent when he was in his mid teens. RU tried to grab him for their International 7s comp. He was chased by several clubs before he signed with Manly. Didnt need hindsight to see this kid was potentially a star. I could see and stated back then he looked to have the skills of a 5/8 at full back in a junior rep match. Surprise!. It was a dumb choice. Just took common sense observation.
