Don't get your hopes up on Hopa boys - Parramatta are set to announce Hopoate will re-sign on a 3y deal.

shhhwing
What do you put in the water out there to make all the players you take from us play "averagely". Going to be funny next year....

I still remember Hoppa saying he was hoping to re-sign with Manly before then announcing his deal with the Eels. Right after the grand final win, real lack of class. I still think he's a really good player but he should stay where he is.

Hoppa is no loss at all, as I said in another thread today j think he's been very poor for them, and absolutly terrible in the last game I saw them play.

Jeez it's going to be funny when Hayne bombs at NFL and they can't fit him in their cap when he returns.

Or maybe Dyldo will pay him in free apartments , boats and Ferrari's!!

I wish dce and foran had the attitude of being grateful and loyal for the opportunities they had been given and did not want to test the open market.

Instead all we heard from late 2011 was how they wanted to activate get out clauses, wanted percentages of salary caps, wanted to test what was out there etc etc.

This f$$cking thread is living proof of it as it has been going since last time foran almost left FFS.

In saying that we should have paid dce and told foran to go to hell months ago.

All the eels players who are not contracted for next year must be a tad nervous, they cannot have any cap space left to sign anyone else. Or hayne must have been on about $3m a year

Manly cant afford to look back, those players like Hoppa took the whining worm coin and they are now part of that unfortunate fabric, we move on. What we must do now is get guys who want to bleed for the club. That is the most important thing now and we only need to look at the Holden cup team and there is oodles of passion for this club.

Classic Mick, jeez you are fired up mate, better get that blood pressure tested!!
Well when you think back 20 years to SL and think of bullfrog Moore, who was an ARL board member & his treacherous actions trying to make the dogs the only Sydney team, the first lot to sign with SL, while attempting to destroy all the other Sydney teams. It just shows the culture and character of that sickening club.

In hindsight I think you are right @JenEagle

By the way as a newbie you are " on fire " on here , great to see
Cheers Mark. I have some time off work atm so what better way to spend it than being on the forum. I have been reading it every day since 2000 so I thought bout time I contributed.

It's been a bit depressing being a manly supporter this last month however I am buoyed by some do the rumours that we are close or signing tom burgess and have offers in for Elgey etc.

I'm guessing you watched nrl 360 tonight.

What a deviant Peter Moore was. It's amazing doggies fans think the world about him, although it makes sense given their fan base.

Stay strong @JenEagle we Will be back ( it just might take 2-3 years )

Canterbury were seduced by the news filth coin and to me their sell out hurt the ARL more than every club. If they had stayed loyal that would have finished Murdoch! My main resentment of that club stems from that year 95 when they did that and they we were rorted in the grand final of that year against them and that has continued to the current day.

I was there that day and we WERE rorted!!

the dogs are lucky they are still in the comp.

super league, salary cap rorts, coffs harbour, their fan base and the flares and fights they started in the mid 2000's.

I remember gallop pretty much said they were on their last warning a few years ago. That was about the time Malcolm Noad was in charge.

That reminds me. Noad wouldn't pay Kane Cleal after he broke his leg on a technicality and understandably Crusher was furious. Didn't stop him following Des over there.
