Jake Trbojevic said his brother Tom would be doing everything in his power to overcome his pectoral muscle injury and return to action.

Tom is already using a "Game Ready" ice and compression machine, wrapping the inflatable bands around his left shoulder and upper chest.

Jake said his brother would be visiting specialists later on Monday.

"He's going to see specialists today, and they're going to exhaust all avenues and see if they can possibly get him back out there," Jake said.

EDIT: Oops, Manly twitter feed says Tom is OUT for the season (sorry).

It is all looking promising feathered friends

The medical staff have given Turbo the all clear

We will just bandage up Turbo with inflatable bands to hold his pecs together and have him run on to the field on our first finals match

Jake ya damn liar!

lol, kidding.

Bad and sad news. I hope he has a better 2020. What was it..about 12 games this year?

Sad news for Tom but Elliot won’t let us down. Snake needs to work with him and Reubs around the clock until finals. Elliot for the defensive positioning play and Garrick to be given the roving commission for support play up the middle. We are still in this thing, bring on parra this Friday!

Well said mate

Tom is a great player but our Manly Sea eagles are also a great team as they have proven to win games this season without Tom

As much as I want to see Tommy play again this season, its a no brainer that he gets the surgery done and starts his rehab. He is such an important player and there is no way that his long term health should be jeopardised. Good test again for the character of our team, written off and laughed at by our enemies. This is when Manly love to hit back. Bring on whinger park!!

My opinion of Elliott while he deputised for Tom was that he was a solid & safe defensive fullback, but over the past couple of games where he played centre he revealed he has a nice step & the ability to break the line & race upfield.

I hope we get to see that side of him in his second stint of filling in for Turbo.

We are going to need that and a lot more from him if we are to go any further.

Ffuksake seriously. Could it get any worse. I hope I live long enough to see a Manly side come into the finals without major injuries or suspensions to key players even in 08 and 11 we had them. Time for Tedesco, Mitchell, Burgess, Reynolds,Cody Walker ,Scam, Munster to bust an acl or something season ending this weekend then.

Well we're back under the radar and will be written off by all now. With good reason this time though.

And when he comes out of the bandages he will be invisible. Elliott will be the listed fullback, but the invisible Tom, nicknamed either ‘Hawley Griffin’ or ‘Kevin Bacon’ for this effort (to be determined), will also be on the field - catching bombs, directing the defence, tackling himself (wait till the opposition experience that) and setting up tries; in the process, completely bamboozling Parramatta this weekend and whomever we play after that.

It’s all part of Des’s new Special Projects Office, located deep in the bowels of Demountable HQ at Narrabeen.
