Apologies for introducing logic into the argument Rothfield, but Matai is off contract at the end of 2015. This means that he can now sign with any club he wants to for 2016 and beyond. There is absolutely nothing stopping him doing this. So why hasn't he? Well, it must be for one of the following reasons:
(i) no other club is prepared to offer the $ or term that he wants;
(ii) he is happy at Manly and looking to re-sign with them; or (iii) he has already signed with another club for 2016 and beyond and it hasn't been announced yet. In each of the above cases, your story is rubbish. In particular, if there is a queue of clubs wishing to pay him big $, why doesn't he just sign with them for 2016 and try and negotiate an early release, like his mate Dropmough did? Again, apologies for introducing common sense into the conversation.

@matt Manly will never be popular. The Northern Beaches and the Shire (Manly and Cronulla) are bogan central, seriously one eyed fans, with the other eye being damaged by too much surfie hair bleach over the years. All the other clubs are fine, no frills affairs there for the footy and the normal fans, even the Doggies are ok compared to the bleached clubs!

100% correct he played rubbish the second half of last season (not the only player) and if his name wasn't Foran he would have been dropped. The lack of interest was only magnified by his performance in the world cup chalk and cheese.
