Just on a different note . Retiring at 43 years of age is a remarkable thing to have planned and achieved.
Life is too short to wake up and clock on and off work and then wait for a couple of days off work that go too quickly and dont give you that much time to do all the things you want to do . You have 4 weeks annual leave a year but nothing would beat being retired at a young age and enjoy every day at your leisure and pleasure .
@Mark from Brisbane also sounds like he planned well ahead and is also enjoying the benefits of living the dream . Congratulations to both of you !
For most people like me its back to the drawing board until pension age .

I personally think you are drawing a bit of a long bow there mate.

If they did not want the clause in there, it wouldn't have been there. Last time I checked, Penn seems to have a legal team at his disposal and I am sure they are there to look after his company's interests.
 
This place is very entertaining... the arguments presented by all, almost always produce random off shoot facts in the heat of the moment that serve to educate the educated. So much more engaging than the illiteracy and foul mouthed slang that spews forth whenever a dispute arises on other less reputable forums like “the kennel” or “one eyed peel”

I actually just read back through the thread. You should too. My “roaming around” insult (I use that word loosely as it’s according to you) came after you called me a numb nut and a range of other stuff. Feel free to apologize when ever you’d like. Another example of you twisting and turning your argument whenever you feel it suits

We all get carried away and get off the rails with our passionate views on here and it is the same at all other forums .
We need to refocus that we are all here for the same cause and that is we all love and support the same team . Our Manly Sea eagles !!!

5 current international players in the starting team, 2 of them as spine positions, and Barrett cried over a lack of a Recruitment manager.

How much more recruiting did the bloke need.
Maybe if we could just recruit two more current internationals we could have scraped into 12th.

This is a classic case of a head coach not being able to get 17 individuals playing for themselves, the club, and the coach, as a team.

Something Des seemingly specialises in.

I went on League Unlimited yesterday for the first time in about 10 years. That was 20 minutes I wish I could get back. No level of intelligence was evident at all. I gained a little more respect for my fellow Silvertails after what I read over there...

Posted over there myself a couple of years ago, but just too many di*ckheads.
 
Would be interesting to be aware of Barrett "s motivation to tender his resignation mid last season and not wait until the official end of the season . A tactic to place himself in a better position to force the Penn "s hand more favorably his way in any settlement pay out or to improve his opportunity to seek alternative coaching employment or both ?. Must have been fully aware however how much disruption and instability from mid season that this action then would have caused or manifested for the playing group , the club in general and the club"s short term welfare . Combined with some of the other inconsistencies and also lack of accountability for his coaching practices , still hardly places him in an overall good light . Sure the blame game can be shared around a bit but continues to be very difficult to absolve Trent of his very pronounced self interest and distinct lack of general concern again for his playing group and club"s best interests during the whole episode .
