Yes read Sophie's and a few other comments that weren't favourable to Hasler or Rod Spleenberg. Wonder if we are witnessing the beginnings of an underground movement at Belmore, that will eventually herald the end of Hasler's tilt at the 'Next Wayne Bennett' title? Say about midway through the 2014 season - approximately the same length of time they gave Kevin Moore.

Hope Brisbane sign Cronk. Make it easier for us to hang onto DCE. If the Bulldogs sign Dugan it won't be to play 5/8. Mason to Eels.LOL.

Why do the Eels persist in chasing players that are so close to their use by date???
Surely Cronk won't leave Bellamy.
Dugan is no 5/8. But either one of them would look better then Foran in a number 6 for the Dogs.

Cronk I believe is 30 this year. So next contract will probably be his last in the NRL. Meaning he will take the big bucks whether its Bellamy or not. I hope he does go to Brisbane.

can't wait for this indepenent commission and the league tv rights to be sorted, so we can see what chnage , if any , is going to made to the cap ?
i know it has been done to death in another thread, but, i can't see why we can't sign our players on contracts with a clause giving them a percentage increase comparable to the percentage increase in the cap.

Now that Brett Kenny has left club there's a vacancy in the maintenance department. Sounds perfect for Willie.

If they're paying Hoppa Snr 200k a year I'm sure they can find Willie something to do.

No haven't had anything confirmed re- Hoppa Snr, tho wouldn't surprise me one bit if it ends up happening. After all it is Parra were talking about.

Hoppa Snr and Jarryd Hayne's mum are on $500k per year as advisers to the CEO.

I heard it from a source close to the Eels. Well, I heard it from a mate who actually doesnt have anything to do with the Eels but he is a loser who hasnt won anything since 1986 so according to the DT standards od ethics in journalism I believe that is as reliable source as you can get.

That said, the Raiders have stated that he'll start at Mounties. Could be useful for depth, but no more than that.

Thats what we said when we signed him from Manly, played round 1.
