Saw a picture of most of the European royals gathered somewhere in Denmark in the early 1900 's . Some of the facial similarities of the male monarchs was uncanny , Just the way of the world back then no doubt . Sad that the resident monarchs of England , Germany [ Prussia ] and Russia were all i st cousins at the time and apparently did try to stop an all out war between some of the major European countries but were largely ignored by their military hierarchies at the time . Guess that the Royal powers at the time were no match for state rivalries and military power plays unfortunately .

Good points, but even back then it was enterprise / private business that was a big factor, and also the church in rome playing both sides.

No doubt a heap of factors at play , don 't know much about the Vatican "s role in W W 1 but some of it":s conduct in the second world war was pretty sus . Austrian - Hungarian empire was causing a lot of pre war friction prior to W W 1 and some of the treaties seemed a bit counterproductive as well . Yet Italy and Japan were allies against the so called central European powers in the i st world war and 20 years latter , enemies , Weird world sometimes

But she was best known for playing Shirley in the long-running A Country Practice, appearing in more than 800 episodes in the 1980s and early 90s.

My old mans pretty quick to text me celeb deaths.(He’s a wireless talk back freak).
For the first time yesterday he texted me that Clint Eastwood turned 91 the other day...and he’s ALIVE! lol. (My old man has a striking resemblance in appearance to Clint, but he hates it when I call him Clint) I say to him, it is the alter-mate complement, there is no praise higher for an old bloke I reckon.
