Pre-Match Manly v Roosters Round 22 2017

The edge of Shaun Lane/Lewis Brown, Dylan Walker and Akuila Uate has let in seven tries compared to Frank Winterstein, Brian Kelly and Matthew Wright’s three.

The above is from an article on Foxsports.
Yes, i reckon it's because Brown always gets sucked infield, is poor in making tackles, never wins tackles and continually fails to read the plays in defence. Poor Walker and Uate's efforts are getting let down by Brown's inability

NRL.com predicts: All things point to a Roosters win, but as we've seen throughout 2017, things aren't always as they seem. They've been panned from pillar to post in recent weeks, and with the rugby league world against them, that's when Manly generally produce their best. This is a danger game for the visitors because the Sea Eagles simply must win if they want to get their season back on track. We'll play it safe and back the Roosters by 8 but if you're looking for an upset this is the game for you.

Well they got that wrong didn't they!!

@strone33 reckons it's 13+

Maybe this will one will be an unusually low scoring game for both teams. Manly 10 Roosters 8

Rare to see one of those these days, mainly due to the possesion created through penalties.

Nearly all of the teams can each on 20-30 points if they get greater than 60% of the possesion.

Personally if we get flogged again in front of our home ground then we are fcked as serious finals team .
3 strikes and we are morally out .

If they cant get up for this game after the last 2 weeks.............and in front of the home fans (hope they turn up!), then I agree.

If there was ever a time for the team to stand up and make a statement, its this week.

Rorters are beatable too so I for one am hopeful!

I just wish we still had a fortress.
How can we have a fortress with players like Lewis Brown at the gate ?

I saw the dominant win by parra last night .
There was no arm grabbing by their players , they drove their opponents back wards with strong and secure defence.
There was no side ways running by their players, they run hard, fast and straight over the top or around their opposition .
Parra carried no passengers in their team as they all contributed to the down the dogs .
Can we defeat the roosters ?
We can if all our players contribute and we carry no passengers in our team
Time for EVERY player to show their worth !!!

Parramatta were playing in the wet though. And 18-4 with only a few minutes remaining against the dogs is by no means a good scoreline. Especially seeing that the eels were non stop attacking their line and had something like 55-60% possession. I agree with your points although the eels can't be used as an example, hate those pretending ****ers
