This game has me more concerned than the Cronulla match up.
Too many times have the Titans beaten us, even when we've been higher up the ladder.
The Titans have the ability to score a lot of points. Luckily they make a lot of mistakes and invite opposition teams back into matches.
I know we can defend much better than the Tits. Hopefully the ball bounces our way and we get an even amount of possession.
All the 'experts' will tip us. That's a worry. Our players must not get ahead of themselves. We play better as underdogs.
We definitely go better whe we're the underdogs

Simplicity the key to Manly's overachievement

With all due respect, a look at the backline of Manly's team sheet in the absence of stars Daly Cherry-Evans and Tom Trbojevic does not inspire confidence – however their coach Des Hasler has some NRL journeymen playing their best football and it all comes down to a very simple game plan.

Right now the Sea Eagles are an under-resourced team playing well above their weight. So what's the reason for it?

Watching them play, there is nothing complicated about their game plan. This is very much a Des Hasler team, from the way he played and what he tried to instil at the Bulldogs.

It's all about working really, really hard, being meticulous about your job, focusing on just your job and nothing outside of that and doing the little things right.
...
They're under no pressure to do things they're not good at so when you have such a sure sense of what your job is on the field it's easy to know whether you're doing your job or not. They all look like they know what they're doing.
...

Thought Craig Wing was locked up HM?

Edit...Oops-a-daisy, that was Craig Field :drunk:

I had a terrible, very vivid dream last night (damn curry...). We lost this 9-8, and the refs absolutely ballsed it up for us. Conspiracy, controversy, shocking decisions all over the park. It was quite distrubing. THEN I got up, made the kids breakfast etc as usual, and mentioned it to them...and my eldest son said "I had the same dream!" Except he was playing prop for Manly in his dream, and Marty Taupau was on the wing (my son is about 50kg).

Not that i believe in omens as such...but can someone please sight a Sea Eagle today, and post it on here!

I woke up as Eagle Rock was playing on chnl 831 on Fox 70s Music - my background sound machine

Dreams are also a means to live out the fears we harbour.
Consider yourself free of witnessing a Manly defeat now :nerd:

As @Freagle just said. This is where it'll be lost on Fri. Assclown canary #1 will blow us off the park with penalties while assclown canary #2 will be blind to any wrestling, grapling, forward pass, laying on tackle, 2meter offside Titan tactics.
It's simply the only way for Turdy to gain some credibility is to knobble us.
Titans x 12.
