Not surprised that Des has gone with Gosi... he looked very good in the trial, has put on 5kg, and looks to be a very tough kid. Hopefully, he can stay injury free and run some nice lines for our halves. He whacks in defence as well.

Looking at the backline there is obvious question marks, but maybe Des has worked his magic with their defensive patterns and attacking structure and bring out something in them that Barrett was unable to. We’ll see on Saturday! I certainly think we can roll them in the forwards, I’m excited to see Elgey partner DCE and very happy to see Api back.

What else was expected mate? Waddell, Turbo, Paseka and Walker all unavailable. Where were the smokies going to come from in the line up? Funa is really the only possibility that could have come in. As I’ve said, expectations are low, so hopefully that will lead to some pleasant surprises come Saturday.

Looking at facts, not potential, I can't remember fielding a worse backline since early 2000s
Garrick,parker,elliot, Elgey all park footballers last year, tafua 4 years past his best and Suli is fat and lazy

Hope some of the kids come good, but that's a horrible backline.. Can't see any but dce getting a start at any other club

I like the team! But I'm not a reliable judge when it comes to Manly, find it too hard to be impartial.
