PRE-GAME DISCUSSION: Knights v Manly [Round 12, 2021]

Does anyone else get a bad feeling about this game coming? Knights got blasted by the coach in the post match conference last week (didn't he basically call the team soft and losers?). Wouldn't be surprised to see a bit of bite in this one.

Also, if Burbo is debuting who is dropping out? I assume Siro might not be ready or is Suli getting the flick?

I haven’t seen much news but it sounds like either Siro or Parker are out.

I had a nervous feeling until I heard Ponga was out and Best was in doubt. Tom’s class should get us across the line in this one.

Haven't heard anything at all about Parker, hopefully its Siro cos I don't wanna upset anything we've got going at the moment. It would mean Saddler and Burbo on the bench with Suli so a very different looking bench but we've seen in previous games that starting players will get bigger minutes and our bench won't get much game time.

Would’ve interesting to know other first grade teams with three brothers in?

Souths had 4 x Burgess a few years back vs Wests Tigers. Four brothers is the record also held by the Norman brothers for Annandale before WW1.

A quick look at the list of Manly players since 1947 suggests this is likley the first time Manly has had three brothers in first grade. Manly Warringah Sea Eagles - Players - Rugby League Project

Have to think that an under performing side like the knights would be due for some type of a form turn around soon and sure that this would be foremost in Des: s and the team 's mindset . Somehow get the two points tomorrow then with the bye, on 16 points and a good platform to go on with it from there . Have to aim up regardless of the previous form of the opposition if they want to be genuine and consistent finalists or even top four contenders . Complete well again , get the attacking shapes into gear with the tougher defensive efforts in recent times and should be O K for the win .
