Henry Raiders 2007 - 2008
2007 -The Raiders' first trial match was against a highly understrength
Brisbane Broncos team, with the top side in England playing their
World Club Challenge match as premiers. However, the Raiders lost this game, resulting in widespread criticism and the team's entrenchment as wooden spoon favourites. Despite bouncing back against
Wests Tigers in their second match, the Raiders were unable to put paid to these predictions, largely due to the side's lack of experience at both first grade and representative level
The Raiders' first NRL match of the season started inauspiciously, with a 32–6 loss to the Manly Sea Eagles. Their first win was in the third round, a convincing 48–18 win over the Newcastle Knights. The team registered consecutive wins for the only time in Round 11 against the Dragons, and entered the top 8 for the first time in Round 13. However, this win was followed by four straight losses, and the Raiders were unable to find any consistency before the season finished.
This season was notable for the Raiders' struggles away from home – just two of their nine wins occurred away from
Canberra Stadium.
They competed in the
NRL's
2007 Telstra Premiership, finishing the regular season 14th (out of 16).
2008 - ( Dally M coach of the year )The Raiders began the year favourites to win the wooden spoon. However, they finished 6th (out of 16) and were eliminated in the first week of the finals.
Henry QLD Cowboys 2009 - 2013
2009 - The 2009 season was an improvement on 2008 for the Cowboys, with 11 wins from 24 games. The closeness of the 2009 season meant the Cowboys finished 12th, just three points behind eventual Grand Finalists
Parramatta, who finished 8th.
2010 - 2010 resulted in a very poor season for the Cowboys who recorded just five wins from 24 matches, although four of those win coming against teams who participated in the 2010 finals series. Had the
Melbourne Storm not been deducted premiership points for their salary cap breach earlier in the year, the Cowboys would have received the wooden spoon. During the season the side went on a three-game losing streak, two four-game losing streaks and ended the season on a run of six straight losses.
2011 - ( Dally M coach of the Year finalist ) They finished the regular season in 7th place and were knocked out in the first week of the finals by the eventual premiers, the
Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles.
In the qualifying final, they led Manly 8-0 at half time before being overrun by the Sea Eagles who went on to claim the premiership.
2012-They finished the regular season in 5th placed and were knocked out in the second week of the finals by the
Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles, for the second year in a row.
2013 -The Cowboys finished the season in 8th place and were knocked out in the first week of the finals by the
Cronulla Sharks
Henry Gold Coast 2014-2017
2014- During the second half of the season Cartwright resigned, and his position as head coach was taken by assistant coach
Neil Henry for the remainder of the season. Gold Coast finished the regular season in 14th (out of 16) and failed to qualify the finals for the fourth consecutive year.
2015- February 2015, five players were stood down by the Titans after being charged and issued with notices to appear in court in relation to drug offences by Queensland's
Crime and Corruption Commission. The players were
Greg Bird (two counts of supplying a dangerous drug),
