the only solution as i see it is for the penn's to sell the brand back to the the mwrlfc on a buy back plan with easy terms and both desy and tooves with crusher take control of the team . simple

Nice idea .. but the problem with that is that the MWRLFC has not got the pockets to fund several million in loses each year ...

So, let me ask is this the players group as a whole OR just a throw away line from ONE player that’s been picked up by these parasitic journalists????

As usual Silvertails is blowing up deluxe BUT remember it is the media!!

Yeah the same media who said Baz had quit. It's a cheap line certain media people are correct more times than people give credit. I see Michael Carayannis gave you a little jab on twitter lol

I would like to see something like this analysing neil henrys career over his three clubs. Pretty sure he will be at the helm next year

Henry Raiders 2007 - 2008
2007 -The Raiders' first trial match was against a highly understrength Brisbane Broncos team, with the top side in England playing their World Club Challenge match as premiers. However, the Raiders lost this game, resulting in widespread criticism and the team's entrenchment as wooden spoon favourites. Despite bouncing back against Wests Tigers in their second match, the Raiders were unable to put paid to these predictions, largely due to the side's lack of experience at both first grade and representative level
The Raiders' first NRL match of the season started inauspiciously, with a 32–6 loss to the Manly Sea Eagles. Their first win was in the third round, a convincing 48–18 win over the Newcastle Knights. The team registered consecutive wins for the only time in Round 11 against the Dragons, and entered the top 8 for the first time in Round 13. However, this win was followed by four straight losses, and the Raiders were unable to find any consistency before the season finished.
This season was notable for the Raiders' struggles away from home – just two of their nine wins occurred away from Canberra Stadium.
They competed in the NRL's 2007 Telstra Premiership, finishing the regular season 14th (out of 16).
2008 - ( Dally M coach of the year )The Raiders began the year favourites to win the wooden spoon. However, they finished 6th (out of 16) and were eliminated in the first week of the finals.
Henry QLD Cowboys 2009 - 2013
2009 - The 2009 season was an improvement on 2008 for the Cowboys, with 11 wins from 24 games. The closeness of the 2009 season meant the Cowboys finished 12th, just three points behind eventual Grand Finalists Parramatta, who finished 8th.
2010 - 2010 resulted in a very poor season for the Cowboys who recorded just five wins from 24 matches, although four of those win coming against teams who participated in the 2010 finals series. Had the Melbourne Storm not been deducted premiership points for their salary cap breach earlier in the year, the Cowboys would have received the wooden spoon. During the season the side went on a three-game losing streak, two four-game losing streaks and ended the season on a run of six straight losses.
2011 - ( Dally M coach of the Year finalist ) They finished the regular season in 7th place and were knocked out in the first week of the finals by the eventual premiers, the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles.
In the qualifying final, they led Manly 8-0 at half time before being overrun by the Sea Eagles who went on to claim the premiership.
2012-They finished the regular season in 5th placed and were knocked out in the second week of the finals by the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles, for the second year in a row.
2013 -The Cowboys finished the season in 8th place and were knocked out in the first week of the finals by the Cronulla Sharks
Henry Gold Coast 2014-2017
2014- During the second half of the season Cartwright resigned, and his position as head coach was taken by assistant coach Neil Henry for the remainder of the season. Gold Coast finished the regular season in 14th (out of 16) and failed to qualify the finals for the fourth consecutive year.
2015- February 2015, five players were stood down by the Titans after being charged and issued with notices to appear in court in relation to drug offences by Queensland's Crime and Corruption Commission. The players were Greg Bird (two counts of supplying a dangerous drug), Jamie Dowling (seven counts of possession and two counts of supplying a dangerous drug), Kalifa Faifai Loa (one count of supplying a dangerous drug), Beau Falloon (four counts of supplying a dangerous drug) and Dave Taylor (One count of possession and one count of supplying a dangerous drug).[3][4] Ex-Titans Ashley Harrison (two counts of supplying a dangerous drug), Steve Michaels (10 counts of supplying a dangerous drug) and Joe Vickery (seven counts of supplying a dangerous drug) were also charged and issued with notices to appear in court.[5]
Gold Coast finished the regular season in 14th (out of 16) and failed to qualify for the finals for the fifth consecutive year.
2016 - Titans made the top 8 and were eliminated by the Broncos
2017- Finished 15th on the ladder with 7 wins and 17 loses

Carty Winning 45 per cent of his matches. More meh.

He didn't exactly have a team of superstars at the Titans!! We at least have a reasonable squad so you never know what can happen. I dare say Cartwright is a better coach to be honest so maybe he deserves a go. I'm afraid that no matter who our next coach is (apart from Toovey) people will still complain.

Our next coach needs to be either McGuire, or a Henry Tooves collaboration. Don't think either of those will happen.

We are a young side who need a disciplinarian. Not a hand holder. That way the chaff will be cut and we won't be worrying about which young potential star should or shouldn't be let go. Elegy needs a solid preseason and some defensive work from someone, I don't know who but he needs blokes running at him all summer and needs to go fishing with Joel Thompson and build some sort of bond. He needs to improve and have faith in his bodyguard.

He's a cheap talented option and could come good. Kelly and Walker give the bastarfs early ball. Straighten them up and have finishers ready to fire. For gods sake get Tom Wright on a wing to get a feel for first grade. Have hodkinson teaching the reserves coming through not wasting a bench space in firsts and have him ready to step in when origin or injuries occur. Hope API goes with Trent and fainu gets a shot after a good off season but he will need a foil like a slade griffin or Ryan hinchcliffe dwfender.

Paseka will be good for the run. Tafua suli Anderson funa Wright Parker- outside backs are good enough and well priced. Imagine turbo injecting himself wider when Kelly or Walker get a decent early pass.

Plenty of positives.

The players will always back their coach. Whether we bring in madge or Henery the players will support either of them.

Just which coach will suit manly more, both will do a good job imo and will have a good squad to work with.

Relax people .... we are searching the known Universe for the best coach available .... our Recruitment Officer has it in hand .... Oh wait ...
Watch this space
We will sign another coach
There are coaches out there that would give their left testicle to get an opportunity to another job .

Anyone got a clip of Cartwright laughing when Manly were being run down by Penrith in 2016?.

Put it up to remind us of the mug he is.

They sure did but and I may be bias it was never a team that contained the likes of 2 x Turbos, DCE, Walker, Taupau. They are 5 of the best 30 players in the comp in my opinion.

That's what is so sad about this. There are those five, plus players like Kelly, AFB, Fainu Tanga on the rise and we mustn't forget Api and Sirro. As one commentator stated, this team should be contesting for the top four, not the spoon.

Ritchie on NRL Tonight
1) Carty has the lead for coach
2) Baz and Penn will end up in court
3) Baz finishes in 11 days
Trent is crazy to go to court. Wealthy parties tend to prefer to risk losing bigger money in court than backing down. Best for his sake to settle and get on with his next chapter, whatever that may be. I’d be putting my health and family first if I were in his situation.
