Even though I lost the tip. I’m happy that the Cowboys won. I do my shopping tomorrow at my local woollies. The hammer‘s cousin works one of the tills at the shop. He is a young nice bloke (studying sports science at Bond Uni), Who I always end up talking footy with. Sometimes he forgets that there’s people lined up behind me. And I have to wrap it up a bit quick, he would keep talking footy no doubt. But he is so proud of his cousin Hammer and I will make sure i’m down there tomorrow, and no doubt I‘ll have a good chat with him now the Cowboys have won, and his cousin scoring the final try.
(I won’t be telling him I picked the drags, he’d kill me).🙂

Unfortunately, like a lot of others, he's a bit of a one trick pony. Can run like the wind. Can set up and score tries.

Defensively he sucks though.

I would rather have a Speedy Stallion in todays fast game than a pedestrian slow mule

Sorry to have to tell you this mate, but speed is not the only thing in this game.

Its a very big asset to have, we've seen that with the likes of Jason Saab. But being old school I prefer players who can score tries and stop the opposition scoring them, especially from a fullback.

My perspective is that Speed is KING in every sports code

Lack of speed is a liability because there is absolutely no advantage of being a slower player in any position on the field

The Old school game with the close 5 metre rule no longer applies

The New faster school game is made for the Saabs and there is not Saabstitute for X factor speed to win Big Games .

I prefer line breaking power players and Speedy players than the slow predictable players that get burned off when faster players step around them and we have also seen this with the likes of slow Parkers

I wont change your perception and you wont change mine but I can see a change for the better coming in our predictable and pedestrian slow left centre position .
