Disagree, he was very forthcoming about Radley’s shortcomings.

Of course he’s going to raise issues that have happened to his players. It’s not that what happens to other clubs doesn’t bother him he cares more for what’s happened to his players.

For the record, I don't think we can count on the Raiders beating the Chooks. Hell, they had a hard enough time beating the Warriors who spent the last 40 minutes of their game trying to hand the win to Ricky's players.

Fact is that the only way Manly can guarantee a top 4 finish is to beat the Dogs tomorrow and the Cows next week. Do that and the other teams (Chooks and Worms) results don't matter.

I was heartened to hear so many "experts" tonight calling for the Bunker to be scrapped.
The Bunker gets so many things wrong that it is counterproductive to the sport. It is a costly extravagance that has never worked yet its powers continue to grow and denude the sport I love. The Bunker is to rugby league what Hitler was to world peace.
What's the worst that could happen if we went back to decisions being made by on-field referees? There would be just as many mistakes made but they would be made quickly and the game would move on without all the slow-motion inquisitions. We would again have a sport in which common sense decisions prevailed most of the time. There would be no "left shoulder" obstruction rulings, players falling over and lying down to gain penalties, stopping play to review something that happened three plays before. And it would save the sport a lot of money.
We will never get the Bunker right. The more we strive for perfect decisions the higher our expectations are and the greater our frustrations grow because there is no such thing as perfection in sport.

There was no bunker in the 90s and that worked pretty well. I can cop bad calls all over the park by one ref. What I can’t cop is rubbish calls when plays are slowed down and reviewed by the bunker. Get rid of it!

I also agree with the Reynolds sentiment, the bunnies seem to lose their way when he left the field, Walker didn’t step in and steer the side and the side didn’t really regain direction until Adam returned.
Another thing that annoys me is how the backs almost always get the points or rewards when in my opinion players like Murray and other hardworking forwards seem to almost always miss out on MOM awards and or recognition for their efforts.
In fact Murray for mine has been the Bunnies best or near best player all year.

Agree with all that and figured you were just relaying information...I was just surprised he would have got it. The repeats sets he earned at the back end were good and he threw a couple of nice passes but that was well after the game had been won by other members of his team.

Sure, but he wasnt saying it shouldve been a send off. No coach would, but its important because Robinson wasnt saying the Roosters were hard done by, he was saying that they were the only ones hard done by.

I don't accept that and he was using it to get as much mileage for the Roosters as possible. Because he then went on to complain about the Roosters penalty count, which is a completely separate issue because he coaches the team to run very cynical tactics like running offside when camped on their own tryline. That part of the presser also had nothing to do with player welfare, it was a cynical tactic trying to brute force his way into getting favour from the refs into the finals.

The Bunker is only used in the NRL. All other rugby league matches are ruled by on-field referees, and the sport has survived. Players grow up respecting -- which is different to always agreeing -- with the whistle-blower.
Why is rugby league at NRL level adjudicated differently?
The Bunker has forced players to cheat, falling down to mimic an interference, and feigning a crusher tackle or a innocuous high shot so the incident can be judged by a vidiot in a studio thousands of miles away via a television image that can't impart the same nuance as a referee or touch judge standing nearby.

I've just read that Perenara has been sacked from Bunker duties after last nights Souffs V Easts match.
The NRL don't get it: he'll be replaced by another vidiot who will also make mistakes. All humans do.
It's the whole system of refereeing by remote that needs to be sacked.
