NRL is a disgrace.

The old pretend fan come on Kevin you can do better.I do bitch when we lose and as for hide when we win I'm off getting pissed don't feel the need to post as I'm sure you will fill the forum with some dribble.

When we lose I use the forum to decompress
Decompress indeed - you don't drink during the game? A sorry, walkabout on the piss after a win it is then.

Haha.
Yes Kev.
I've never played past u17s level.

Clearly , this forum should only be for those who have achieved higher honours.
Not at all... don't mind me. I have just always struggled with those whiney, pipe up after a loss types. Particularly when I've just watched a highway robbery with two blokes who have played the game at a pretty high level. Both of whom say we were robbed. Not to mention the team I support has run out of halves and forwards.

But I didn't mention you Mave.

It's all good mate, 1 game. Lesson's learnt. 12 players out. Ridiculous refereeing decisions, escalated by playing very, very flat. Better now, than later, and alsoi, we went nowhere south on the ladder.

We will start getting players back now. No idea what Des is going to do, because right now, who do you drop?
We lost to a team that could not win a game in the last 6 weeks
We lost to a club that has inner turmoil and their coach calling the players a soft culture
I know the refs were poor but we still had opportunities to take the game and we failed to do so which was very disappointing
If we played smarter we would have won that game with the players we had on the field
Who would I drop ? Funa from the 5/8 spot

We were cruising till keppie stupidly got sin binned , the toy set in and we never looked like winning again.

Keppie ain’t worth it. Too much stupid in his game and it will continue to cost us

Croker bought back his
hero-play no where near a 40-20 kicks again.
So you were happy with the mid field bombs on repitition. If tom ever gets a clear run to catch one , as the only chaser he is still going to need to run 25 m , beat 7 defenders after outjumping the fullback.

Trying and failing is better than doing something over and over that does not work. One of croakers kicks was the best or second best kick of the night and from memory he only did 2

Imo this game was psychologically lost by Manly after being beaten down by the ridiculous penalty count and biased refereeing. This led to second guessing themselves and bad decision making by some.
I think they need to be mentally tougher to overcome situations like this because it will happen again.
I'm still shocked at what I watched today.
Maybe this loss was a good thing in the sense that the team has two weeks to think about it, and learn what bull**** looks like.

it may get them out of the clouds thinking they are a lock for 6th or any hope for a top 4 spot.
Despite all the typical grubbery from the Knights trainers, the referees and the biased 10 metre line, we were flat as a cane toad on the Pacific Highway.

If Manly want to win most weeks, and get inside the eight, they have to treat each game the same and not mail it in thinking of upcoming byes and nonevent Origins. Some of the efforts out there tonight from perceived start players was pretty weak, and the structure around Cherry was dreadful. I was screaming at the TV.

it wasn’t the Newcastle players fault that they didn’t drop the ball, didn’t have any brain farts, and played consistent park footy.

So disappointed
Those 2 points available on the platter today were handy coming into the SOO series
and entrench us into the top 4
That was a great opportunity we failed to take today

Every one knows tom is the only play maker in the team. Its time some of the others took pressure off him. They just rush him in defence. Its not fair on tom.

Sarcasm intended

Davey, Cust, Schuster, Sironen, Aloiai, Foran, Walker, Sironen, and Haumole would have definitely made a difference today mate. We had Funa playing 5/8 and Lawton in the backrow ffs.
Team character and overcoming adversity would have made a big difference as well against a very ordinary Knights team that has not won a game in 6 weeks

We and the refs, gifted them the win. Overcoming adversity had nothing to do with it 😉

Not ideal to throw a rookie out there in a tight game like that
Agree but at least he knows the role... there is a pretty obvious reason Funa looked so lost today...

Seriously, with Schuster pulling out so late there is not a chance that Funa even got a chance to have a run there... bad call imo, I wouldnrather take my chances with a FG 6, a FG 9 and a rookie 12...

Yes it was clear Tom had an eye on SOO. He is a great player - super but his effort today was very very average. Never once did he slam the ball into the middle of the ruck like he has been doing. Was never really around the ball sniffing things out. Just seemed in total cruise mode.
They were all a bit off imo. Refs cruelled us something shocking but we really still should have won this one. Bye next week is timely as we are completely ravaged with injuries.
