The Keepers -2025 Edition

Saab seems not himself this year??? Seems to have lost confidence or is carrying some sort of injury or has something happening in the background! Not his usual smiling self when he scores tries……I dunno what’s going on. Can be a game breaker with his speed but just somethings not right.
He relies on Tommy playing well at full back to open the field up for him or give him space in a corner. Hoppa just doesn't unlock him the same. When Saab is in space he's devastating but he's never been one to find the space for himself

1. Turbo
2. Lehi
3. Koula
4. Talau
5. Garrick
6. Walsh
7. Fogarty
8. Paseka
9. ???
10. Jurbo
11. Haumole
12. ???
13. Navale
14. Simpkin
15. TKO
16. Bully
17. ???

Three new forwards (hooker included) and we can be competitive in 2026. We won’t get rid of enough people to make it happen though

Can’t believe Saab was extended till 2029
That’s why Saab has stopped performing and developing, contract complacency.

I can understand that Lodge's past makes him difficult to support. But based purely on football he a very cheap option to call on, especially, (if I recall correctly) we've still got a one more year of Schuster's contract to pay.
I disagree personally, Lodge in my view is quite replaceable and we should look at a younger option with upside.

People lambast Jake who averages 7.1m per run but Lodge averages only 7.25m.

Not look to reduce players to one stat but I think Lodges impact is overrated.

Hard one with Jake at continuing at 13 but then not offering a lot of impact value yardage wise as a prop .
Yet , a few others of the better rated sides have average go forward props but have sufficient value in other areas .
And Jake still one of the most formidable mid field defenders in the comp so can certainly justify a Manly prop role going forward . Can "t really see much purpose persevering that much longer as the 13 though
Those two young props and Hart currently in the N S W cup hopefully not too far off being able to offer something really worthwhile in i st grade
Looks like Manly quite keen to re sign Talau and Faualo , even for one season would seem quite reasonable in the present circumstances
T K O as generally accepted , a priority re signing for another season as well .
Bit indifferent with Lodge and would he be any better then Bryan who i have no idea how much upside he may have .
Only concerns would be Koula and Garrick , keeping in the fold for much longer and most other expected mainstays already signed for extended deals .
Brown like Lodge , just not sure of the case to re sign but only on base value so maybe does not make that much difference
Walsh and Large should not be that far off making the step up

yep and as we have seen you can never have enough props.

If Jake plays 13 next year we are officially the dumbest club in the history of the game.Look at the guys playing 13 today and what they provide!

Ffs when is someone going to have some balls in this once great club.
