Tom Malone of Channel 9 is a tosser.
Now what would happen if Sea Eagles, Guppies and Tits supporters all boycott watching NRL on his network?
Channel 9's ratings will drop and other media (ie Foxtel, Kayo etc) will increase.
Then next time the Broadcasting Rights are tendered, they will put in a weak bid and it will go to Channel 7 or 10

Though, he may actually be right and the media twisted his comments. There's always that.

Doesn't mean ch 9 aren't rubbish at choosing games and covering footy, just that Tom may not have actually said to axe a Sydney side.

The second Brisbane team could be fixed very quickly with virtually no disruption to the comp. they could keep the same logo jerseys and still play say 4 season games at their old home ground and pull decent crowds at both. They would be very well recurved and probably be even more of a powerhouse that they are now.

The South Brisbane Storm makes so much sense I don’t know why its taken this long for it to happen.
