Non Manly Games [Round 22, 2019]

Turpin and Milford should get a week...but they won’t.
And Pangai Jnrs hit on Moloney, that was shocking. He got ten, but surely he gets a week for that.
But it’s Brisbane and they’ve got the Bunnies next week, so play on, nothing to see.

He doesn't want to take on any job that will harm his legacy...

There have been at least 2 former premiership winning and representative winning coaches in 'head of football' roles for their respective clubs in the past 5-10 years. Neither side was a serious finals contender in the time they were employed, and it is also worth pointing out that despite their obvious credentials, neither of them elected to step in and coach either.

The point is that a team's leadership and direction needs to come from the coach himself. Anything else is really just window dressing.

I'm sure AFB copped 2 weeks when he clipped a falling Pearce a while ago when that gave him the supposed black eye.
Lets see what Turpin gets.....Over to you Turdburger

Edwards wasn't falling per se, he was sliding with his head at a consistent height for a long enough time for Turpin to gauge his angle of attack.
His fist was closed with his arm swinging and he got Edwards EXACTLY how he meant to thinking it wouldn't be seen by the refs!
The worst I have seem for some time and it should be the end of Turpin's season if there is any honesty left in the game that Greenturd is systematically destroying.

Didn’t miss him that’s for sure

You somehow get the feeling that while Turpin should definitely have a case to answer.....the MRC however will see it completely different and he won't.

Right now the NRL and its financial benefactor Ch.9 desperately want the Drongos in the Finals. They want the probable higher gate from a game or games at Suncorp and they want the higher television ratings from Qld. If the Drongos miss out, meaning all three Qld based teams will actually miss the Finals.....what do you think that does to 9's ratings in Qld come Finals time? And that also affects corporate sponsor money because Qld based sponsors will be less likely to pay for television time (ads) if there are no Qld teams involved.

Unfortunately this is where the lines of it being a business and it being a sport become extremely blurred.

Do you honestly believe this? I am actually sorry for you if you do.

We need the Broncs to beat the Rabbids next round.

That should be a dirty game and hopefully result in lots of suspensions >:)

Broncos enforcer Tevita Pangai Junior could miss the rest of the season after being hit with a grade two dangerous contact charge.
The base penalty for the charge is 300 points, but with carry-over points an early guilty plea would mean four weeks on the sidelines.

Fullback Anthony Milford has been charged with tripping and has been fined $1,150, although the incident did not draw a penalty during the game

Jake Turpin was also sin-binned in the spiteful clash for a swinging arm on Penrith fullback Dylan Edwards early in the game.

He has been charged with dangerous contact and is facing two to three weeks on the sidelines for the shot.

To be honest if you’d asked that question 5 years ago I would have sided with you.

But in 2019, with Turdburger in charge and some really crazy decisions in the MRC and judiciary already I think V8 is close to being on the money.

There are so many instances already this year where stranger things have happened.

Gee Ponga is a very talented kid, but he is also a ball hog. I think he thinks its all about him, sorry thats my opinion anyway
