Clon I see your point, but as far as I'm concerned are dangerous for many reasons and anyone is a mug to get involved in the activity.

Absolutely they are dangerous, no debating that fact. I just hate when people who drink (sometimes binge, and im not talking about you here) bag people for taking ecstasy when they are doing as much damage to themselves (and more damage to the community) than the bloke that pops an E here and there.

I think we know a lot more about the long term damage done by alcohol and tobacco than we do about some of the newer substances getting around.

That statement may be easier to quantify in 20 years or so.

What I am referring to Mata is the damage caused by alcohol related incidents, ie drink driving, assaults etc.
