Morgan Harper

If they could bottle MH's enthusiasm and sell it...send me a case!

He and Saab have quickly become 'a' combo. Attack and defend together, etc.

I'm not writing Suli off but I never felt that way with him and Saab / Garrick.

Peas in an effective pod. Don't split them up!

(split peas, lol. pun not intended.)

So you call a back who did not make one line break , create any try assists , bombed a try and missed a tackle that led to a try
had a great game ?

I am glad he acceded your high expectations feathered friend
to be fair BOZO we had three no tries from players held up over the line and Schuster fell off the tackle that led to the try too

It’s incredible to see what happens when we have a centre that chooses to pass the ball. I like Suli but he’s too much of a ball hog, always trying to beat 2/3 players before passing. Players like Saab need early ball

I am with the Screaming Eagles Podcast, they think he is Soul Glo Darryl from Coming to America. View attachment 17940
Soul Glo has a ring to it

He’s certainly a competitor and a smart footballer.
His defence is outstanding and he offers so much more attack and support than Suli.
I hope we don’t need to use Suli in the backs anymore. I’ve never felt like he would live up to the tigers/bulldogs - hype/price tag.

Keep the golden harp and send the plodding pudding Suli back to the bulldogs.
I’m still keen to see tippy toes get the next shot at centre.

Moses Suli is a failed attempt at remaking Konrad Hurrell.
Sweet kid but I’d rather we win games of football instead..
I’m happy that he didn’t throw away his career but he’s surplus to Manly’s requirements

Has a way higher ceiling than Suli. Just looks like a genuine centre. Always looking to create something, either by slicing thru defence himself or setting up his outside winger. He plays with energy too, yes can miss a tackle but does not give up on the play.Looks to get involved during the game as well. His enthusiasm also is another positive.

He isn’t a sweet kid, but agree that we should cut him loose. Lazy.

Agree. Suli has one thing going through his mind when he gets the ball and that is to run and fend and see what happens. Harper is a thinker.

He reminds me of a skinnier version of Matai. I knew from the start that Matai would be something special and I have the same view re: Harper. Barring injury and COVID waves, don’t be surprised if he makes the NZ World Cup squad later this year.

As for his winger Suli, if he keeps scoring tries and improving at his current rate, he could do ‘a Wolfman’ and bolt into the Australian squad - especially if we go a couple of weeks into the finals.

Saab and Harper the dynamic duo are going great guns .
They are firing real bullets and scoring tries !!!

I’m happy being corrected there.
I wanted my post to be clear I’m only critical of his playing performance. I definitely don’t want his laziness in our team anymore

Only a fool would write off Moses Suli after witnessing the improvement in Lachlan Croker, Brad Parker, Reuben Garrick, Taniela Paseka, Sean Keppie, and Jason Saab. His short stint on Friday night wasn't at all uninspiring.
We have all seen what destruction the The Runaway locomotive Moses Suli is capable of

The Runaway locomotive Moses Suli will be back

He has a lot to live up to and a lot to prove .

Suli , prior to his recent comeback was mainly playing in what i would generally describe as primarily listless and poorly organized team and coaching circumstances . Give him some of the opportunities and more organized and open play of recent times , and pretty good likelihood that he would be doing quite well also . Really not too concerned with any character or whatever comparisons , we will take back Fainu with open arms , if he receives a favorable outcome with his legal issues . Now living in the Northern beaches apparently , looks like his fitness level is sufficient , and now every opportunity to play to his potential . Injury prone issues is the only concern i have . Still think that Walker could serve the role of a Conner Watson type player from the bench if he also does not come into calculations as a centre partner for Harper . A Harper - Suli centre combination certainly doesn 't look too out of place to me

Sure we have had a good run recently but were not that convincing against the Warriors and only one excellent try saving Saab [ and partly Turbo ] effort away from extra time if the conversion was successful , and Turbo having a blinder . Great win but probably a bit of an inflated score against the Broncs . Just saying , probably some or definite improvement still needed to match it with [ or beat ] the the front runners . Another genuine strike centre in top form would offer something more even taking into account Brad fairly solid form this season .

Harper was a little guilty of not passing against the broncs, bombed 2 or 3 tries by not shifting to Saab quicker and going for the line himself.

Suli needs to learn how to step off either foot at pace - repeatably, a skill I would expect any first grade centre (or any back) to know how to do. Trampling over opposition backs in a faster paced game is more easily read by the opposition, especially if they know that's all you have to offer.

Morgan definitely reminds me of jonah from Tonga. Resemblance is uncanny
