Mo gotta go.

Its one of those cheesy 70s porno plumber mo's isn't it @:D

Seriously though, for Des to put him into first grade last Saturday and this week shows that he must see more in him than he possibly does in Tangles or Paseka or Perrett.

Paseka to me is a bloody big boy, but his aggression does not match his size. And Tangles? Sure he's enthusiastic and his hit ups are usually quality. But there probably is a concern over him breaking down, plus as others have said he is a bit one dimensional. No real passing game, doesn't offload all that often, if at all, and his defence isn't all that crash hot.

However, lets be honest.....with AFB back in Rd.9, provided we don't lose anyone this week then someone is going to have to drop out of the team. I can't see it being Waddell or Fainu so that leaves Sipley, Jetski or Boyle. Sipley has become the preferred 3rd prop at this stage as evidenced by his 3 starts with AFB out. Jetski has shown some versatility being able to cover centre if needed, while Boyle does need fitness and is likely to get more of that starting at Blacktown than on the bench for Manly. But who knows which way Des will go?

There is another thing to consider. Boyle is a prop/lock while Tangles is more a back rower. And right now Des considers Thommo, Siro and Jake as 80 minute players.

Still think that Jetski is the one who ought to make way for another middle player... @HappilyManly did make the valid point recently that he is cover for centre (as have a few others), but then I'd say that Fainu could also cover most of the backline, at a pinch? He's played in the halves at least, and certainly has that elusive running game. Personally i'd have Tanginoa in there at present, for a few minutes of 'bash and barge' at the back end of the first half. His energy and physicality would bring a great boost to the team, whereas we currently have two backrowers (Waddell and Jetski) doing the work of middle men. Happy with Waddell, (very happy) but I don't feel like there's much upside to having both of them on the bench, rather than a big bopper?

Boyle and Tangles, for mine - at least until next week when AFB comes back.

you haven't seen much of Boyle then?
1 Blacktown game, 1 very small stint where he got gassed in first grade, then quite a few YouTube vids when I heard he signed him.

He averages just over 50 running metres a game (possibly less with the last game).

I thought he struggled for Blacktown a few weeks ago, and I know he couldn't crack the Titans team, partly due to injury, and got relegated to the bench in the QLD Cup.

Also, guys who have experienced him live like sue, thinks he was nothing special, but is young, so hopefully can improve, which isn't a glowing endorsement right now, when we need him at his peak.

That said, I'm biased and absolutely love Tanginoa and also Paseka (who played very well under Barrett prior to his injury).

A few weeks ago Des had Spud come in and spark the Blacktown forwards up. Hoping that Des will get Spud to light a fire under his a** to get Boyle running with some extra mongrel. A lot of people malign him, but if Boyle had half the mongrel that Gosiewski had then he'd be an absolute monster.

I love Tanginoa & Paseka too and I welcome additional competition from another potentially great top 30 club man .... I saw him play his first grade debut game for tits against raiders and I'm hoping he can perform regularly like he did in that game
