Ps I put their ages because a growing body of scientific evidence says that critical parts of the brain involved in decision-making are not fully developed until around age 25 or so.

Fair point, but I don't think any rational person thinks beating your pregnant girlfriend or breaking into a house and terrorising women and kids is a great idea.....whether their brain is 19, 27 or 86 years old.

There is zero justification for it.

No thanks, apart from his actions in NY he seems to be an obnoxious person who is happy to walk out on clubs when it suits him & still expects to be paid his full contract.

Interesting that he left the Warriors immediately, it would suggest he already has a new contract somewhere, I just hope it isn't with Manly.

LET'S DODGE LODGE.

As a journo said this morning(take it or leave it when it comes to them)normally they get wind of something when a player leaves and where they are heading but he said they hadn’t heard anything in regards to Lodge.Buying a house on the Northern Beaches means nothing as plenty of players live there but play elsewhere

Whilst it is quiet, there is definitely interest from both parties to link up following his departure from the Warriors.

100%, couldn't agree more. The point about the young age is not to excuse the actions, but rather it is relevant to 'prospects of rehabilitation', and 'risk of recidivism', ie, can they change their ways and become a different person.
Hopefully yes, in both their cases. They've both been involved in unsavoury stuff since then, but nothing like the crimes they committed. Just something to bear in mind, nothing more, nothing less.

Koula isn't up to NRL fullback. As I have said many times the huge job of an NRL full back is reading and organising a defence being an attacking weapon from the back is very very secondary. A young kid who wasn't a specialist fullback full time coming through really will struggle with the defensive load and responsibilities.
Koula predominantly played fullback thru his junior days as was confirmed by fox commentators. He also played Center so a transition to fullback would not be a huge change. Also The Titans, Dragons, Souths, Warriors fullbacks are the same age & not as solid as Koula!

Hey... I agree when it first happened I was deadset that he be banned from the NRL for good and I was very clear and said that on here. I have no doubt at all that he was at least a total and complete arsehole and cetainly believed that he needed to man up and at the minimum pay some serious compensation to that family... not sure that happened. I gather because of his father - he got off rather lightly with the NRL. I also believe though that people can change and that a second chance should be given if people show that they have changed. Now maybe he is bashing his misses behind closed doors but to date we haven't heard of any off field bad incidents. He is still grubby on the field but in that way he is a bit like JWH. So while him as a person is so not my cup of tea.. just like I guess Dylan Walker isn't my cup of tea I am happy to have the club assess him as he is now and if they think he is now a decent person then I think he is a great signing. Our props are sooo damn ordinary - he will be an upgrade over everyone except Aloiai. I do totally understand your position and the position of others on here.
He hasn’t been in any trouble since that USA episode 5 years ago???

yes mate - thanks - I know that... just saying the defensive workload and responsibility is massive. My understanding is that Weekes trained as Tom's backup in the offseason and if so - no way is Koula ready for that. I totally get that Koula would be a great attacking spark... but at the moment he is our only quality centre - moving him means we have 0 centres until Parker gets back even forgetting the defensive issues.

I am not sure....I haven't followed him closely sorry. As I said I would expect the club to do their due diligence. On the field he is a grub but as I said so is JWH. I think he adds some real steal to our side and yes is far far better than Sipley Keppie or KDL.

Api Koroisau broke into a house & fronted a woman inside whilst in our colours…..just sayin’

In regards to Lodge and Manly's current season, it seems we are out of the running and now gunning to meet Des' performance KPI (Top 8) come hell or high water. The stars do align as we have the cap space, squad numbers to fill, him moving into the neighborhood and a need for someone in his position and what he can bring to our team. He ain't bringing home the 2022 Premiership but he might wake up some of our forwards who don't seem to understand their roles as, for lack of a better term, grunt. Maybe he can bring a mirror for Paseka too.

Whether this comes to fruition and has any benefit short or long term, that's for better judges than me to decide and right now those guys are our administration.
