There aren't too many players these days that buy into any team. It's just a business now and they're a commodity. They all follow the almighty $.

If the rumours are true that he does what he wants on the field and doesn't adhere to the game plan - then maybe that's the crux of our problems. He does seem to be on his own out there.

Indications are that he is already on pretty decent coin now with Manly so so doubt that he would receive much improvement contract wise elsewhere . In any case he was the one who openly stated at the start of the season that this current manly side had the goods capable of winning the comp so really should not have any complaint if this has not eventuated . Can"t see Manly releasing him as things now are under any circumstances and no doubt it would be in his and the team:s best interests for him to accept this reality .

Unless Manly have let Marty go, Blocker's claim is impossible and against league rules. Marty is on Manly's books until the end of the 2020 season.. SC cant even officially talk with him until November 2019. Mind you Blocker also has Walker going to Easts (that's the true name) next year also. IMPOSSIBLE, unless Politis has breached the TPA rules big time, the same rules in the process of being changed.

It’s a long-running rumour that they keep going back to, but if it’s fact why has Manly publicly accepted Shaun Lane’s departure but not Taupau’s (or anyone else)? Probably because it’s not true. At least not yet.
