I refuse to blame the refs we were so fkn diabolical with everything to play for. I thought I'd give Barret and DCE a chance but Barrett fails to motivate the players and DCE inexcusably after so many years in grade cannot control a match even though he is one of the senior players. Tonight he had free reign, no one from our senior squad was playing and he failed to deliver.

Everytime DCE touched the ball he has two parra players in his face or was shocking service from Api.
Barrett was out coached by the Dalai, fkn embarrassing

What is wrong with our coaching staff? The vulnerability of play makers (or lack of) for both teams was blindingly obvious leading up to this game. So, let's see how each coach prepared for this...

Arthur puts Gutho a couple of passes wider of the ruck away from rushing markers and brings Robson in to take a greater role in play making than previous games. He also has his players rushing up and in on DCE all night.

And Barrett??? Nothing. Puts Walker in 5/8 with zero playing skill and thus making the Parra defensive decisions simple, leaves DCE close to the ruck as a walking single target, and no rushing defence on their play maker all night.

Seriously, what the hell was Barrett's plan tonight? Sure, the players were woeful in skills and discipline, but I could not see any game plan whatsoever.

We were flat out robbed and even though we played poorly, we deserved to win and the pinkies decided to hand it to the cheats. I'm absolutely filthy.

Forget the refs, we lost this game. We had so much to play for and man that was atrocious. This feels worse than that game against Penrith. At least then we came up against a good side. I've never been so disappointed. Koroisau does give terrible service but DCE just has to get over it. There were times when he just got caught with the ball without doing anything. We are back to what we were at the beginning of this year.

Only because his constant run ins with Ceccin - which got him nowhere, caused him to stew, rather than just play footy.

DCE can't play both sides of the ruck, not with this team, he cant organize them on both sides because they are not smart enough to listen

We should of won that. We defended well and had chances to win. Some dropped balls and silly penalties cost us. It was a physical game and slippery conditions to ball play, we just didnt adjust to the rushing defence and with one half we looked too pretictable.
We need to stand a little deeper and give better ball to dce. So many times he catches the ball with a defender in his face.

We dont look good with walker at 5/8.

Yes you're right but at least they were in front at half time.they've only scored 2 tries in the last 4 second halves and they were both last week

Chechin didn't help but Taupau had the chance to pull out of that shot, or at least not make it such a "statement" hit on a small guy. Trying to be the tough guy backfired. It was stupid, but it was keeping with the theme of the night where everyone got rattled and allowed the Eels to get under their skin. Parra got in our face and we got distracted with trying to get one over them instead of playing our game. We cracked under the pressure and its further proof that DCE struggles when the chips are down and we need direction and composure
