I was a centre. He has alot of footy skills and seems a natural footballer. Im sure he could do a good job at 5/8 but would take too much time to have him ready. Im sure he could do a similar job to walker.
One thing I do know is i want him in our side for a long time to come. I reckon he'll go to a new level this year
cSomeone mentioned last year that you had a sprinting back ground as well , just for curiosity , how did you and Michael compare with general speed . Once Michael got wound up , he seemed to be able to really cover some ground . Kelly really seemed to work on his strength and running ability during the last off season and full credit to him that his overall playing performance did go to a better and more consistent level this season . When there was a bit of a 5 / 8 playing void mid season or so , did think that Kelly could be tried there but with the return of walker , this then seemed really unnecessary . In the short term at least, much better suited to progressing as a centre . Really do not think that it would serve any useful purpose playing him on the wing , his subtle elusiveness and better playing attributes should keep him at centre again right now .

Dragons to sign Fijian flyer

Some good news for the Dragons in the wake of last weekend’s heart-breaking loss to Souths - the club has landed Fiji’s World Cup flyer Mikaele Ravalawa for 2019.

At just 20, he is a real crowd pleaser who scored five tries in one game for Raiders feeder club Mounties earlier this year and was the club’s top try scorer for the season.

This is the type of winger Manly need more of !!! Fast and someone who can actually finish !! Wish we signed him

No names, no pack drill. BUT...

Marty is making no secret to people he cant wait to get out of Manly and that a destination will be the Roosters. Perhaps even a chance of a return to the Tigers or Dogs ( don't ask me how Dogs fit him in ). The source is slightly second hand, but are from his own words. I think we are about to see this rumour fire right up in the next few weeks. Its not about the destination itself ...….. more the escape.

Don't shoot the messenger. I think this on has some legs.

Well there's been enough smoke around that it wouldn't surprise me if a fire sprung up despite his constant denials (can't help remembering he cut short a contract to come here in the first place). Be a big loss if he does go, what will our attack centre around in his absence ??

Whats people's thoughts about Kelly as a winger. He has the speed and seems pretty safe under the high ball. I actually think he plays more like a winger anyway
Robbo , i think he played all his junior footy as a 5/8 and 3/4 so i dont think he would cut it on the wing . Imo if we tried him there teams would target him all day and could prove disastrous. Man it may work but i think we are better off going for a specialist wingman.

Thanks for the information TI. I think our forwards have actually been quite good this year so we will miss the big guy.

Importantly: We also will have a severe lack of corn rowed hair. The loss of ANOTHER islander dude with cornrows is deeply concerning and I can only think this is a huge part of our problem. If we need two wingers, a prop and a second row can we at least make this a priority? I think like channels on a surf board they make you go faster and we need SPEED ASAP !!!
