Missed the game but seems many are rating his game as very good today.

Seems disconnected from the stats, spent more than a half on the field, made 3 runs for 21m and 17 tackles. Only marginally better than Frank for least metres.

Was there a lot of ball playing etc that doesn't show up or are people getting over excited?
He wasn't impressive with the ball (the ball barely came his way) but he is a really stiff defender and that's what has pleased people. He tries to smash the opposition on every tackle and he stiffened up the edge that was struggling when Winterstein was on. I doubt he is a future world beater but given our injury crisis, he looks like a quality plug.

Forward Jack Gosiewski has been called into the Sea Eagles starting side for Sunday’s game against Wests Tigers.

JACK Gosiewski came to the Sea Eagles looking for an opportunity to revive his career after an injury-plagued season at the Rabbitohs.

Now the tearaway 23-yearold forward has been rewarded for his performances and will make his first grade starting debut for Manly in Sunday’s game against Wests Tigers at Lottoland.

The selection came after Gosiewski made a big impact in last Sunday’s game against the Titans in his first NRL game for the club.

“I was coming off the bench and I just wanted to bring a lot of energy and try to lift the team a bit, especially as it was my first game,” Gosiewski said.

“I was just running off adrenalin most of the time.

“I like to play with energy and a bit of aggression.”

His enthusiasm led to Gosiewski mistiming a hit and being charged with a grade one high tackle on Titans centre Dale Copley, which saw him cop a fine.

Gosiewski is reaping the benefits of a demanding offseason under the supervision of Sea Eagles director of physical performance Dan Ferris, adding 3kg of muscle to his frame.

“There was a lot of stuff I wasn’t really doing at Souths. I put on a bit of weight and I think I’m a lot more powerful,” Gosiewski said. “I just feel a bit bigger and stronger and that’s obviously going to help with my game.”

In a horror 2017 Gosiewski had surgery on his knee, tore a ligament in his foot and hyperextended his leg.

“The last few years I’ve dealt with a fair few injuries so it’s good to be fit and feeling good,” said Gosiewski, who was in Brad Fittler’s Emerging Blues squad at the start of the year.

are those shirts available for sale

I have not seen them

Really?

An email went out before the start of the season.. late last year.

If you have been a member for 3+ years and you wanted one, they sold you one for $47 (1947, is my guess on the price).

You just had to tick yes and use the hashtag 'truesupporter'. (#truesupporter)

Do we suddenly now have the hardest-hitting back-row in the comp?
Probably getting up there with St Merge at least.
We built great success on this in the past; however, Choc had a strong running game which hopefully Gojetski can bring over time. Jake covers Gift’s ball playing ability.
