If you actually watch NRL 360 when Kent invents this bit on news on the fly, its hilarious. You could see just how much he was straining to squeeze that little nugget out.

Here's what I think is going on here, Mestrov has narrowed it down to a handful of people within the club who he suspects is leaking all the clubs biz to the media, so he has created several ridiculous rumours to get into the ears of the suspects, one individual rumour per person.
Then when something like 'Turbos to the Dolphins' comes out, they know specifically who they told that one to, and can now plug up that leak permanently.
Or at least I hope that's what this is.

What I find interesting is why / who might have leaked this information

Was it the Fulton clan trying to white ant Des? Was it Des angling for a pay out? Was it Penn trying to create grounds for the back flip needed to get rid of Des now?

To sound like a broken record it all sounds like a lack of leadership and governance
