Possibly. I guess the question is if Lawton had the same time, opportunity and intent put into him as a hooker (by Des and co) as Croker has, who would come out the better 9? I would suggest Lawton; however, he might be of greater value in the role of utility as he seems more of a "footballer" as Des is known to say. Both; however, would take a backseat to a free, fit and firing Fainu next year, albeit not initially but by year's end.

Croker has performed better than I expected: however, if Fainu is found guilty, I would be uneasy continuing our premiership quest with just Croker and Lawton. Kenny could be a good option.

He has played hooker in the first few weeks of his return. However due to all the injuries to 2nd rowers, he has been playing there.
I am sure if Croker got injured, Lawton would be playing hooker even if they were still short of 2nd rowers

Simplistic IMO

He played his last 15 odd games at the Warriors at hooker and covers hooker and backrow in equal measure.

The fact he became fit right when half our backrowers were injured necessitated him to play there.

Our backrow been fully fit and our hooking options crippled then it would be reveresed.


Don't get me wrong, I agree that he (nor Croker) shouldn't be a long term starting hooker option but to use the fact he has been playing backrow for us as the reason is, as I said, simplistic

This is the only change to the arrangements published on Friday 25 June 2021 and Sunday 27 June 2021.

It is on a rolling system at the moment so no chance of his trial happening.

Jamil's matter is not a trial. Courts are still operating, it is mainly jury trials that are affected due to the number of people required.
