Or perhaps jumping fences down parramatta way and spending time sleeping in a cell didn't allow the original surgery to heal properly?His shoulder is a huge hurdle he’ll have to overcome should the court case go in his favour.
Essentially even if he had not been charged two years ago, we probably wouldn’t have seen him play during that time anyway, so that tells you just how challenging the shoulder issue is.

Jeez can you imagine if it turns out there is a microchip/nanotechnology/population control in the Vax. I will give you 1million to one @Kevinward777 will be on a old post captain hindsight resurrection campaign to end all campaigns.Won't see him at all if found guilty
Yeah but there won't be enough of us still here to annoy with it. @Woodsie would still be kicking along I reckon. He'd have no choice but to get along with me.Jeez can you imagine if it turns out there is a microchip/nanotechnology/population control in the Vax. Fair point mate.Or perhaps jumping fences down parramatta way and spending time sleeping in a cell didn't allow the original surgery to heal properly?
I'm not confident we will see him again in first grade. He has been out of the game for more than two years. He has a serious long term shoulder injury. This injury hasnt been resolved through multiple surgeries. The odds against him returning are pretty high, just considering those factors. Then there is the court case, which depending on the result, could preclude him from ever making a comeback. If he comes through all of this, and makes a successful comeback, it will be somewhat of a minor miracle. Good luck to him if he does.Won't see him at all if found guilty
People don't get "proven innocent" in criminal trials. Prosecutors have the onus of proving guilt, and failing to prove guilt is not the same as proving innocence. Yes you retain your presumption of innocence at law but the jury verdict of 'not guilty' in reality only means 'not proved beyond reasonable doubt'.o be honest, IF he gets proven innocent he should and must sue the NRL for loss of income, sponsorship, reputation etc.
This highlights why the NRLs position is flawed. You can’t play if you are charged - But you can play if there wasn’t sufficient evidence to convict you. And you can play after you have served your prison sentence. Now that’s logic!People don't get "proven innocent" in criminal trials. Even if some evidence was to arise that could prove innocence, eg conclusive proof that someone else did it and that Manase was not involved, if the charges were reasonably laid based on the evidence available at the time then good luck getting compensation.
And the NRL stand-down policy has already been upheld in court, Debelin challenged it and lost.
That whole "Failing to prove guilt/proving innocence" thing has been a topic of debate for a while within the world. I'm still surprised about how many people use these terms interchangeably, and I've heard them use these terms interchangeably with other serious cases.People don't get "proven innocent" in criminal trials. If there isn't enough evidence to prove guilt beyond any reasonable doubt, they get off (Although it will still raise divisive opinions within the community, with people likely wondering if they actually did it.). If a person is definitely proven innocent (eg, Someone else fesses up, it is established that they acted under self-defence, duress, etc), they too will get off or at the maximum get a reduced sentence.
With Manase almost certainly an out for this season , probably more interest how Des will manage Croker and the amount of rest time for him in any given game . Mentioned it briefly previously but to keep Lawton on the bench with Walker and 2 props or 2 props and say Bulermor with Walker there . Walker seems more effective as that roving type sub and maybe a bit constrained in even a partial 9 role and with Jake then reverting to more a prop, general forward role regardless . But then to possibly cater for Lawton on the bench to cover a bit for Croker as he previously has . Walker would seem to be a must on the bench but for all of his undoubted all round ability , maybe not so much Lawton , guess only time will tell . .
Good points but not so sure with Marty and Alioia as starting props but plenty of quality forwards vying for positions and providing they can all perform at or regularly close to their best , all goodDes showed twice last that he carried Walker as a specialist utility, along with a backup hooker.
Cust & Walker
Lawton & Walker
I'd say he'll do the same again the season coming re managing Croker
Whilst I rate Bullermor, I find it unlikely he starts on the bench unless injury happens between now & then (pending Aloiai and where he's at with COVID)
I reckon the bench will be;
Walker, Lawton, Paseka, Keppie (this rotation would cover middle forward, outside forward, hooker, half and backs) - then a reserve list of; Sipley, Bullermor, Davey, Tuipulotu
I just have my fingers crossed that we have a healthy & unaffected pre season
