Hodges was adamant that Chez is the man and that Hunt is a dud

I've always hated Hodges with a passion. But I have to say he has come out and made some big calls. After Origin 1, he come out and said why and whom should be sacked. That was an eye opener, he didn't hold back, and he was right.
Recently he has gone into bat for DCE. Look I still hate him. But in the future I may not mute the remote when he's on tele.

When i first heard early yesterday afternoon that D C E had been omitted i was genuinely stunned . Then listening to an interview with Billy Moore and then after with Tallis , it was almost as if they were just commenting from the same script. Can understand the selection rationale with Cronk and Morgan as first choice half"s but the similar selection criteria to then not include D C E as the bench utility really can not be justified. No doubt that D C E can still continue with his good standard of professionalism and fair and level headed outlook and in leading and playing impressively for Manly . Just really unacceptable that the some standards are not displayed by some influential Queensland League identities.

I still don't care who wins but I'd love to see Hunt bomb a certain try with a forward pass (like he did a few days ago against Storm) and make a couple of other clangers. And I hope whoever they play at 5/8 kicks the ball dead 3 times.
If Qld are good enough to win despite those mishaps, good luck to them.

The refs won't call it, therefore no clanger and a certain 4 points for QLD, that's the way this is going to go down.

The simple fact is that in the two weeks since Thurston's injury in game 2, DCE has been Man of the Match in both our away demolition of reigning premiers Cronulla and the come from behind win over the Warriors. At the same time Ben Hunt was average at best off the bench for Brisbane in their win over Canberra and was less than average last Friday when they were mauled by the Scum.

Yet Qld go with Hunt because, among other "reasons" made public, he's in better form than DCE?

I definitely agree that Kevvie is looking very lost in his interviews and clutching for answers.

If he came out and said something like DCE needs to come in and own this team, that's the sort of player he is. He can't be a bit part player and unfortunately for him we have those generals in Cronk and Smith. And it really is too many cooks spoiling the broth......well I'd sort of admire that response and almost understand it.

But to basically say we need a player whose first name is Ben and last name has the letters h u n t....therefore we just had to pick hunt is pathetic.
