I'm still baffled by the "poor Parramatta" bull**** being peddled in the media (watching the Sterlo show now is making me want to vomit). Sure, Parramatta worked hard in the off season. So did every other team. The only difference is every other team didn't cheat. And yes, they've had a good start to the season. With an illegally assembled team. A team they shouldn't have. With players other teams would probably have on their rosters if the Eels hadn't been rorting the cap for three years.
They don't deserve "hope". They don't deserve to play for points. They deserve the strongest punishment possible.

100% agree. Possibly the worst comment I've read was Sterling saying they're still a chance to make the finals because "they recruited well". Excuse me?! Going on a $&@!ing mad spending spree when you are already over the cap is 'recruiting well'?! I think there's a different word for that: starts with CH and ends in EATING you glossy-headed fool!

I'm going to have a shot at trying to watch the footy show without hurling. It's predictable what will happen. Greenberg and the Nein crew will talk about: feeling for the players, all the hard work and training, the courage it will take for them to play on towards the finals.
There'll be a crew of disturbed, mouth-foaming eels fans in the audience calling out go Parra and the like.
The Nein crew and G.string will try to convince the viewing public that it's in the best interest of the league to keep the slime competitive this year.
Actually I probably will hurl.
Maybe time to watch a dvd instead.

watching NRL 360 tonight, greenturd basically said after what happened to the storm in 2010, he said that was devastating for the players and fans and didn't want that to happen this time so has given parra a slight chance to still win the comp and fans still hope. Even though they have continued to try and hide evidence.

He said parra are over the cap by approx 570k, (at the moment in 2016), so all points thus far have been taken away. As soon as they get under the cap for 2016 - they can play for points. If choc is on 570 and has his insurance claim approved, then that will go towards the cap.

So it sounds like they are only getting punished as long as they are over the cap for this year, let alone the 2.1 million over the last 5 years!

In all honestly, as if the players do not know something is dodgy when they are receiving cash payments and under the table handshakes, cars etc

ALL third party deals need to be publicly disclosed from this time on.

They are doing well cause they are almost 600k over the cap. Its unfair, they have blatented cheated and lied. no way they should be playing for points this year

This whole thing stinks to high heaven! Greenburg keeps repeating the Mantra that it is a "Harsh Punishment" and the media have been bought and are perpetuating the myth. It is the softest punishment that could be given, add to that the fact that the media are actually banging on about sympathy for them. PLEASE!!! what about all the other teams that have been ripped off by these cheating barsterds. Not to mention they poached half of our club whilst doing it.
I have been saying all year that Parra have been receiving discretionary penalties at key moments in games and this proves it. The NRL have been wanting Parra to compile points so that they had something to take away. Imagine they had 6 points at this stage and the NRL took only 6 points?? It really stinks and I would imagine Ch9 and Fox have put a lot of pressure to allow them to challenge for the semis and they will give them a leg up to get there because it will be great entertainment and apparently it is an entertainment business now.

I actually think this is probably the catalyst that destroys Rugby League. The NRL has turned into a corrupt unfair joke of a comp, traditional fans will turn away and be replaced by morons that have no idea. It is basically the WWF.

Bones old mate, as usual we are on the exact same page. Todd Greenburg must grease a hell of a lot of gears to get through every situation without any backlash from clubs or fans.
The NRL is basically like Manly, It has been bought by private interests and no longer represents the traditions and values that the game was built on. Super League took it over and it has been a rort for a long time now. Ironically since News Ltd and Gallop left the game it has never seen more money but still doesn't spend any promoting bush footy or Juniors. Its a horrible Bronco's run sham.

Just watched it too, It was sickening. Sterlo is delighted that they have a chance and made sure to lick Greenbergs bum and then bang on about Brad arthur. Its like they all feel sorry for Parra and are wanting them to do well. I just wish there was a Rugby League journo out there that had the balls to offer the truth and say **** Parra they cheated and its not fair. If this was Manly you could imagine the bile that would be spewed at the NRL if they gave us that penalty. They would throw the absolute book at us. I reckon Tommy Turbos great grandkids would be playing for zero points if we did it.

Parra-doesn't-matta should be made to get rid of players and it should be the ones they signed for this season who have put them over the salary cap. Not some Joe Blow's in NSW Cup who were already at the club after having come through their juniors or had been previously recruited. I mean players like Foran, Gordon, Jennings, Gutherson and Scott. The high money players that were signed to start playing for them in 2016. THEY are the ones who they (for all intents and purposes) signed when they were over the cap.

How do the NRL allow Jennings to join them when it was clear that they were over the cap? The NRL as usual are in denial and asleep at the wheel.

We have an illegal team in the competition procured by a club prepared to do what it took to be successful. Now it's bitten them. Shame Greenturd doesn't have any bottle and issue the appropriate punishment.
